JackFetch
Natalie Portman has signed on for more movies. Don't know how many, but I would assume the normal two more to make a trilogy. She is not in The Avengers though.

JackFetch
The Daily Blam! got a chance to talk to Jaimie Alexander about playing Sif in Marvel Studios' Thor. Here's an excerpt from the interview: We saw a bit of you in action during the Comic Con footage, what would you say is Sif's weapon of choice in the film, and how was it like being in that armor day in and day out? Well, she has three [different weapons], but I can't tell you what they are just yet. The armor was rough to wear sometimes but very beautiful. I've never seen costumes so elaborate in detail.. So incredible. Definitely as tough as in the comics, but there's also a softer side to her. How would you categorize her relationship with Thor (Chris Hemsworth) in the film? She is very loyal to Thor and cares a lot about protecting him and protecting Asgard.. As for a possible love relationship you'll just have to wait and see the movie. My lips are sealed! If you had only three words to describe the film version of Sif, which would you use? Hmm.. Stoic, intense, powerful. http://www.superherohype.com/news/articles/107871-jaimie-alexander-on-thor
JackFetch
Marvel has officially announced the international release schedule for their upcoming Thor, now revealed to hit most of the world about a week prior to the film's domestic release (as happened with Iron Man 2). Don't they realize that just means a good pirate version will hit before the US gets it?
slothian
Technically, Japan gets it last but I see your point. I'm surprised how relatively early it's coming out worldwide though as we don't have a major sports tournament to bother about in 2011, and the first week of May is usually the lucky release date. Unless there's another highly-anticipated blockbuster release coming out in early May, this smacks of caution.

JackFetch
It looks heavily borrowed from 300.
KnightWing
Kinda. But, y'know, without the crazy.
JackFetch
I just mean the colors. Deep black with the bright red cape and everything else almost in black and white. That's how the movie was.
KnightWing
Ah. Then yes.
MaxPower
The good news is the costume doesn't look as dodgy as it did in the first images that were released.
KnightWing
>_< I just realized. It's not 300. It's The Spirit.
Venneh
Different films, same visual/poster style. Though I doubt the actual visuals will be like that.
prez
I hardly think its borrowed. Unfortunately, film poster designers follow trends. Bright red on black and white has been big for years - hell, the trend may have started "Sin City." Honestly, I think it's a good choice for the character - similarities to other posters be damned. Koete
I still think the conversation between Thor and Odin is painful. Totally yelled "Fuck yeah!" when Thor's hammer hit the giant in the face.
SuaveStar
Trailer! Trailer! Trailer! Looks like a generic superhero/summer blockbuster film trailer to me. For some reason, it made me think of Hellboy. I'll still go and see it, in 2-D.
JackFetch
They are going to show him being a badass in the beginning of the movie, and then take away his powers and hammer until the end? That doesn't sound like it's going to be much fun.
Guest TFG1Mike
This looks very cool. At first I thought it was Tyler Mayne playing Thor lol my eyes were deceiving me.
Missy
The trailer looks good, but the hammer bothers me. It lacks weight; it looks like a prop, not a weapon.
KnightWing
Hmm. See, I was thinking just the opposite; I thought it had a lot of weight.
