Smallville

The season lost all it's momentum to me when Lois showed up, and stayed. Th show was good when Clark was in High School figuring out his powers. Now I just want him to become Superman and kill this show. There is nowhere else for the story to go since we all know how it ends.

I agree with that. What's curious to me is that they've deliberately altered the Superman lore, so it's unclear exactly how it will all work out in the end.

I really hope that we actually see a suit, though. We deserve that after all these years.

He puts on the suit and becomes Superman. Credits.

Any other ending wouldn't make sense for the premise of the show.

I would go even before that and say when the fuckin caves showed up, this show fell off a cliff.

My biggest issue is, where the fuck do the producers see the chemistry between Kristin Kreuk and Tom Welling?

I'm serious, every scene their in together seems to be trying to get blood from a stone, they are so flat.

Welling has more chemistry with the guy who played Pete! (Surprised they haven't changed THAT part of the mythology)

I've said this before that I'm now the proud owner of the Superman Ultimate Collection DVD set... and on a special feature on one of the discs... Gough and Millar state that Smallville is "supposed" to be clark dealing with puberty and superpowers. Now that Clark is no longer a teenager why the hell are they continuing this show based on that premise? I think where they went wrong with smallville is continuing after Gough and Millar left the show. Honestly even though I defended Season 8 last year I think now that the show could have ended at Season 7. I'll catch up on S9 when the DVDs come out.

Because Gough & Miller went crazy and decided that they didn't want to end the show at the end of high school. Also, the CW network needs anything that gets even mediocre ratings, so they didn't want to let go of Smallville.

Does the show even take place in Smallville anymore? Last I saw it was in Metropolis. They should have changed the name.

There is a rumor about a Metropolis movie ending the series next year.

If that means the start of a new show set in Metropolis, I might've believed it.

This show is just one of those shows that never die, and is like a car crash, I just can't help but watch and say "Another season, jesus, well, when's it on"

Maybe its the very low standards I have for this show, maybe it was the good mood I was in or maybe I was just missed Terrence Stamp's voice, but I really enjoyed this episode and even though I still think Clark should be banging Chloe I didn't mind Lois here.

And Tom Welling is very underrated when it comes to wacky faces.

Oh and does anyone know why Clark and Chloe are no longer friends? Because I for the life of me can't remember, she cannot possibly blame him for Jimmy's death.

From Geoff Johns' Twitter:

Yes, my "Society" episode of SMALLVILLE is actually an insane DCU infused two-part epic. Part I is "Society" and Part II is "Legends."

Glen Winter is directing "Society" and Tom Welling is directing "Legends." They both brought so much to Legion.

I am very excited for this.
