annericelover
Yea, I was on youtube and someone posted a video on The Amazing Spider-Man DVD-Rom set. It has every issue of The Amazing Spider-Man including his debut appearance in Amazing Fantasy. Marvel has also brought out similar gems with their other Super-Heroes. Here's the link: http://eagleonemedia.com/comic_book_cd-roms.htm Now if DC can do this, it would be awesome. If you wanna see the actual video that I saw and see this impressive DVD-Rom set, here's that link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CeJq9FUrdR8
Missy
Yup, these are awesome! The sets I own are: - 40 Years of the Avengers - 40 Years of X-Men - 44 Years of the Fantastic Four - The Amazing Spider-Man: The Complete Collection - Captain America: The Complete Collection - The Incredible Hulk: The Complete Collection - Iron Man: The Complete Collection Sadly, GIT Corp. won't be producing any more of these. When Marvel created their own form of digital distribution, they ended their deal with GIT. Which means the Daredevil and Thor sets will never be published. Hopefully DC partners with them to release Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern and JLA DVDs. Search for these on eBay; they usually go for $30, which is a steal! Guest
I always intended to pick up the X-Men one but never got around to it. A DC Green Arrow set would be instant buys from me.
Missy
Green Arrow, JSA, Superboy, Supergirl, Superman Family and Fourth World books, World's Finest Comics, Captain Marvel, Challengers of the Unknown and so many more! Not too long ago GIT published a collection of Mad Magazines, so hopefully that will lead to more DC-owned properties on DVD.
Guest
Supergirl Amy would force me to buy this one, so I disapprove.
spiralmonk
I just received the CD/DVD collections of Civil War and House of M. I can't wait to read them and give a review if people want one! Not spoilers, per say, since this events have already occurred, but the idea of combining them into one group per event. Similar to when Marvel put out the Age of Apocalypse collections on TPB form about 2 years ago. About 8 years ago, I spent lots of time and effort trying to collect all of the Age of Apocalypse stories. The collections in the TPBs were amazing, except for there was now Legion tie-in series in the collection (which started the whole thing). Slightly misleading, but still a great read. I wo nall the of the other GIT Marvel collections, and like Michael, wish they would start with DC comics soon beyond the Mad magazine (question: how many Spiro Agnew and David Hasselhof jokes can in read in Mad before becoming literally mad (insane)? Great experiment--I just might try it!!! Derek
Missy
Personally, I'm glad the AOA collections include the Legion Quest books. They're a very important part of the storyline. That said, it probably should have been released as either AOA, vol. 0 or as a similarly packaged companion book.
tglancy
I have the Spidey and Avengers sets, and love them.
Stavros
I want the creator versions. All the Peter David ever!
spiralmonk
Has anyone tried the new Marvel digital comic archive service? I'd like to, but I'm weary...I want to know more about it! Yes, it definitely sucks that I have Ghost Rider on DVD-ROM (sorry GR fans) but no Daredevil. I want my Frank Miller on my ginormous computer screen! :grumble:
