slothian Posted September 7, 2008 Report Share Posted September 7, 2008 The general trend of Bond girls is that they're attractive, but often quite annoying. That's not say Bond isn't a cad and probably deserves a bit of backtalk from his women, but Bond's onscreen for the majority of the film and as such, the audience is usually on his side throughout. Honey Ryder, in the film, isn't wholly neccessary for furthering the plot along, but that trend improves as the series went along. I graded the film highly because it made Bond look like a proper spy before the series got silly, but the Craig films do that as well in a wholly different way and I'm looking forward to when we get round to them (2010!!)
