JasonC
The Doctor's Wife is my third favourite New Who episode. After Blink and School Reunion
dc20willsave
As much as I like it, I'm cheering more for The Girl Who Waited or, even moreso, Remedial Chaos Theory, the episode of Community that got nominated.

Donomark
The Girl Who Waited was my favorite episode of the season, so I'll be rooting for that.

JasonC
Hm. OK, The Girl Who Waited is fourth. Or third, because I could easily have Blink and School Reunion as joint first.
dc20willsave
A Doctor Who / Star Trek: The Next Generation crossover is happening in an IDW miniseries. Apparently they aren't stopping at just a team-up with the Enterprise-D and the 11th Doctor.
Dan
That's going to suck so incredibly hard and yet I MUST HAVE IT.
Missy
Is that the case, or are those simply variant covers?
dc20willsave
The only variant mentioned in the Solicitation is a black and white one.
Dan
Here's something that popped into my head after recording BOTI 89 with Mike last night: Is Series 6 the first time in the new series that the Doctor hasn't kissed his companion? (I generally don't count River as a companion because she's not a regular.) Series One: The Parting of the Ways Series Two: New Earth Series Three: Smith and Jones Series Four: The Unicorn and the Wasp Sereis Five: Flesh and Stone Is Moffat taking us away from that? It almost never served much plot purpose and was basically just a way to have a kiss in the season trailer, so I'm clearly not heartbroken by this. But with Marta RTD was just trying to do the same thing because it worked before. I think Martha was RTDs biggest mistake. She started off as a great character. then turn into a lovestruck teenage girl.
illogicology
I suppose you could argue that in Season 2 the Doctor was actually kissing Cassandra... Still, I don't think you could say Moffat's moving the show away from that, I mean River's companion status might be dubious but it's still very much "The Doctor kisses a running character." Davedevil
Hey there everybody! After listening to over 70 episodes of Bigger on the Inside(in two weeks, too. Why I'm not insane I have no idea) I just had to join in the discussion! And I have a story, too: For the past week, I've been trying to get my friend to watch the show. After I heard several recommendations for Blink, I tried to get him to watch that. Still no luck. Last night, though, he mentioned that he liked Carey Mulligan, and I said that she's in that episode. Several minutes later, he was watching the episode. (At midnight too, the perfect time to watch the episode!) He said it blew his mind. Looks like I converted somebody! Anyways, howdy guys. Davedevil
I should ask him if he wants to start with the series from the beginning of the relaunch, but if he's still unsure, which episode/s should I show him?
dc20willsave
Rose or the 11th Hour are good starting points for the new series. Old series is more of a toughie. I'm still pitching a no hitter there. Welcome to the forums.
Dan
Series 4 in general is very strong. And I'm a big believer in pretty much any of Moffat's stories from the first four series being good gateway episodes. Also, not for nothing, here's a baby Eleven facing a Dalek.
