Kenny Evil
I'm still getting into them myself. I really enjoyed The One Doctor that starred Six. It's a comedy and actually quite a good one at that. I mean, it has Bonnie Langford in it and I still enjoyed it.

dc20willsave
More than Doctor Who footage in there but you can pick out what is and what's other shows. Good to see that they're getting the Doctor/Companion kiss that we've come to expect out of the way now.
Dan
Due to some poll or other, Doctor Who is going to be on the cover of TV Guide shortly. It amazes me how even a few years ago, that would have been staggeringly, mind-bogglingly huge.
JasonC
And its not now?
Dan
TV Guide was, for many, many years, the single most read magazine in America. Being on the cover was a HUGE deal. However, ever since cable services rolled out the on screen channel guides (show listings were the magazine's reason for existing), it's devolved into a joke that the majority of people are not even aware it's still being published. KnightWing
The funny thing is that the people who actually still buy TV Guide (people without cable) won't be able to watch Doctor Who on TV anyhow.
Badhead
Saw this and could not help thinking of The Cartmel Masterplan
Kenny Evil
I wince whenever I see that because that's an issue of Warrior that Vyvian tore in half, Warrior being the original home of Marvelman and V For Vendetta. The style of Rik's dream sequence was actually used for a Dennis the Menace show a few years later, where they used puppets. just to be clear, when I say Dennis the Menace I mean this guy

I stopped reading it a long time ago, and was shocked when I saw that they switched to a full size magazine. I don't know anyone that reads it because every provider has their own guides on the tv. Dan
I see it next to the cashier every now and then, and I seriously can only think "It's cute that they're still trying." However, it's amazing to me that Doctor Who is appearing on major, mainstream American magazines at all. Entertainment Weekly was a huge deal. Ten years ago this would never have crossed anyone's mind at all. Hell, two years ago. BBC America has promoted the bejeezus out of the show and it's got visibility in the States it has never had before.
dc20willsave
Some BBC publicity including a glimpse of a new TARDIS interior.
Dan
The List today ran a quick interview with Matt Smith, which boiled down to this: "Are you in the 50th anniversary special?" "Yep!" "What about the 2013 Christmas special the following month?" "I dunno! Maybe?"

JasonC
Huh. Rose seems to have a really long arm in the first image... Other than that, those are bloody brilliant!
Missy
You're right, that's weird. I mean, I know it's The Doctor's arm, but it kinda comes off as Rose's.
Badhead
I think in this video Moffat is indirectly admiting the new daleks where a mistake
Missy
By saying that, he's also commenting that when RTD made them at eye-level with Billie Piper, he was wrong, too. No matter his intent, he's right in my opinion. The Daleks are much more frightening when they're smaller.

Dan
Per the BBC, there will be a new theme arrangement and title sequence, beginning with The Snowmen.
dc20willsave
So, we're getting a new Title Theme, title sequence, and new TARDIS. This seems like an oddly high amount of overturn mid-season. If it weren't for the fact that he's been seen on set post- The Snowmen, I'd almost guess a surprise regeneration with Jenna-Lousie Coleman being 12. Almost. Dan
It is a lot of upheaval. I think they're just trying to make the fiftieth anniversary year as big a deal as they can.
Koete
To be fair, Amy and Rory leaving was the most meaningful companion departure (fan wise) since Rose.
KnightWing
Yeah, I think this is just a way to transition out of the Rory/Amy era. The fact that it comes midseason is just an odd quirk.
Kenny Evil
Big Finish have released another ultracheap audio adventure It's a sequel to "voyage to Venus" which was an incredible amount of fun. If you haven't tried any of the Big Finish stuff yet, this is a great way to start without plunking down a load of cash.
