Dan
There is a RUMOR that the Twelfth Doctor has already been cast (which I'd heard already) and a Sunday paper has found out who it is. As a result, the Beeb's hand is being forced, and an announcement will be made tomorrow. RUMOR. RUUUUUUUUUUMOR. Take your grain of salt and go forth. Stavros
So it's basically either- The milky guy from Dredd, Bing from Black Mirror or Howard Stark. Of them Gleeson is the most doctorish. I've seen him in Never Let Me Go. He was also in Black Mirror as Ash, the dead boyfriend slash love robot. They're all great options though. Dan
THANK YOU! I was trying to figure out where I'd seen the one that was in Dredd.
Dan
The BBC's Twitter feed is saying no announcement today is planned.
dc20willsave
Not surprised. Bleeding Cool said it best. If the Beeb was going to get scooped, there was no real way to do a preemptive strike since if someone had the info and planned to hit first, they could still hit first. Dan
Oh, I'm not surprised either. However, I do believe that the role is already cast.
dc20willsave
Completely. I still like the idea that Moffat is going to sneak him into the 50th anniversary special also, whether as a blink and you'll miss it cameo or a blunt Billie Piper looking right at the camera hammer. I think it will depend on how long they decide to keep the cat in the bag. I'm sure they'll reveal by the end of July but still. I mean, there was like three months between when Tennant announced he was leaving and when Matt Smith was announced.
Kathryn Slater
So as a bit of fun, if the Doctor asked you to go with him and gave you a bag to put your things in what would three items you pack to go travelling round the universe and saving planets with. I would take a camera, comfy trainers and a coat that fans out behind me when I run so I look impressive.
Missy
Rich Johnston has posted a rumor that a ton of missing episodes were recently uncovered by the BBC. We'll see how this plays out.

Pan-dub
Antibacterial wipes and sun cream. Lucky undies.
Stavros
I did not need to know that you have "lucky undies". As for my list- Jelly babies, notepad & pen, and a pith helmet.
slothian
Notepad & pen definitely - my marantz audio recorder to make a travelogue - a trowel.
Missy
Pre-marriage: Penicillin, Handi Wipes, condoms. Now: A British World War I military uniform, a bag of guns, an electric shaver.
Dan
A warm coat, the Infinity Gauntlet, and a towel.
JasonC
A warm coat, the Infinity Gauntlet, and a towel. Yes, no one should be without their towel. How else are you going to survive an attack by the Ravenous Bugblatter Beast of Traal? My list? 1) The aforementioned towel. 2) A trowel. 3) A change of clothes, especially underwear. 4) Running Shoes

dc20willsave
Calling it now. If Moffat tries to start wrapping up plotlines with the Christmas Special (partially since it is the end of the Matt Smith era) and we get the Silence, the episode is going to be titled Silent Night. Dan
David Tennant won the Emmy for his Clone Wars voiceover role from this season.
dc20willsave
Between that and his work in The Pirates: Band of Misifts, I can totally see him having a career as a voice actor.
Dan
His voice work in the two animated Who specials was terrific. He's a natural voice actor.
KnightWing
The Clone Wars as a whole won big at the Emmys; they also got Best Animated Series and Outstanding Special Class Animation. But wow, yeah, Tennant was great in his two episodes; good to see him winning big.
Missy
I wonder if this will prove the Guardians of the Galaxy rumors true, then.
