I think it's safe to say that something will be done for any stories that are discovered, but what we'll do and when, I don't know. We've never really considered it a real thing that could happen -- at least, I didn't.

It's just occurred to me to check, but if we take it that the reports are true, it now means that more Troughton episodes from his era exist, than are missing now.

Before this find there were 57 eps existing, 62 missing

Now it's 66 existing, 53 missing

I can't wait to see them, just to see all the visual stuff that Troughton put in..there's so many moments in existing episodes where you see him adding to a scene just through his body language (my favourite is on the last episode of the invasion, when after running away from the cybermen he's sitting on the ground when the photographer starts taking pics of him and he preens and poses for her)

UK film director to direct Twelve's first two episodes

He's Ben Wheatley and he specialises in dark, disturbing films that don't get mass exposure (in the UK, let alone elsewhere). I tried to watch one last year called The Kill List. Unfortunately, my enjoyment was hampered by me being blind drunk at the time and not remembering a damn thing about it.

He's highly rated though, so it'll be interesting to see how darkly Capaldi's reign begins.

I will never understand why the BBC always waits until the last possible microsecond to announce viewing dates.

And yes, the cinema announcement needs to happen now-ish. If it is, in fact, coming to certain American cities, quite frankly, I need to know if I have to arrange to be in New York.

It's the BBC's thing to only announce times 2 weeks before the show starts. The idea is that short time doesn't allow for the hype to die down, and in general that's fine and clever but for something like this the hype isn't going to die down.

However in cases like this when it's being shown the same day as BBC America that system fails, and now even less so because of the SIMULTANEOUS broadcast, BBC America hasn't just told us the date it's given us the time which makes this clever advertising stupid.

It really depends on how they distribute it. If it's going through something like Fathom Events, there'll be a ton of screens here in the States. Otherwise it's probably just going to be a theater in New York, one in LA, and maybe one in Chicago.
