JackFetch Posted August 11, 2012 Author Report Share Posted August 11, 2012 It looks like a remake that didn't need to be made. The first one was a sign of it's time. The cold war was going on, and it felt like that kind of thing could possibly happen almost. This one feels like they are forcing a story that is too unbelievable. I also notice they threw in the "we have to get that one thing that will magically let us take back our country" plot that makes it more like an action movie instead of watching these kids try and survive on their own in the wilderness while getting killed one by one.
