Missy
Marvel made a stunning announcement during the X-Men Reloaded panel this weekend (at Wizard World Chicago). Phoenix will make her return in early 2005, and, needless to say, she and Emma will cross paths.
Fat DJ
Wow, Marvel books are made from recycled paper AND storylines. Huzzah!
Missy
Actually, they said it would all make sense and this was the plan from the get-go.
Fat DJ
Call me crazy, but hasn't the Phoenix been dissapearing/dying/whatever and returning fairly regularly since the 70s or 80s?
Missy
Yes. They even made a joke of it when someone asked if Colossus would be making a return anytime soon. Joe responded with, "Dead is dead, my friend. Dead is dead." To that, the crowd grumbled about Phoenix. The panel then said that, quite frankly, it's part of her history and character to die and be reborn -- after all, she's a phoenix.
Fat DJ
Lame. They have the right idea "Dead is dead", it's too bad they can't seem to grasp it.
Darque Edge
Taking a wild stab in the dark here.....is Chris Claremont behind this?
Cheap Heat
Lame. They have the right idea "Dead is dead", it's too bad they can't seem to grasp it. Or at least bend the rules for the right person.
Missy
Taking a wild stab in the dark here.....is Chris Claremont behind this? Greg Land is the artist, bit I can't recall who the writer is.
