Stavros
...Iron Man is the first fully CGI hero to really work on the big screen, especially in action. To be fair, it wasn't all CG. Quite a lot of it was done with a real suit. Fair enough, but this was the first time I wasn't looking for the transition. I just bought it. KnightWing
Fair enough, but this was the first time I wasn't looking for the transition. I just bought it. True that. I totally agree.
Aaron Robinson
I've been watching the odd episode of Adventure Time. The original short was pretty awesome, but I had a hard time seeing how they could make an ongoing show from it. Now that I've watched a few episodes, it does feel a bit uneven, but there are moments of sheer brilliance.
NightAngle04
I watched the debut ep of Happy town tonight, from the previews they made it look like it was just a plain old regular guess the serial killer, but after watching the debut ep, I think we are to suspect more supernatural things are afoot. Venneh
Hamlet with David Tennant and Patrick Stewart, and also surveillance cameras. Go watch.
SuaveStar
South Park this week was good. It wasn't deep and was light fun, which was what was needed after the two parter.
dc20willsave
Watching the original Nightmare on Elm Street. Going to see the remake after work tomorrow. Good start to a good weekend.
JackFetch
Watching Ghost Rider at work. I forgot what a great looking movie it is. Regardless of the acting and story, Ghost Rider and the bike look awesome.
Koete
Finally got around to watching Tron. I liked it. Didn't exactly have me jumping up and down, but it was a fun way to spend 96 minutes. I am much more excited for the sequel though.
Venneh
So, I just saw this great bromance, it involved a Victorian Batman, epic costumes, manly bonding over fighting and living together, and there was also some plot about blowing up Parliament or some such thing stuck in there, but it was mostly about the bromance. It was Sherlock Holmes. *prepares to be murdered by most of the men of the forums*
Koete
Please, Sherlock Holmes has no time for bromance or romance. He's too busy playing his violin, doing cocaine, and memorizing facts about some plant that only grows in India.
Dread
A Batman-style bromance is the perfect distillation of the Holmes movie.
Venneh
So, now, the question is, is Watson Clark or Dick? If you're up and the internet is working in my room, this must be discussed further.
Stavros
A Batman-style bromance is the perfect distillation of the Holmes movie. Yup, seems accurate to me. Its basically the House/Wilson relationship right now, brilliant detective seeks to steal best friend back from harpy.
Venneh
I never really watched House.
Koete
So, now, the question is, is Watson Clark or Dick? If you're up and the internet is working in my room, this must be discussed further. He's the Dick.
SuaveStar
Watched Star Trek and Law abiding citizen last night for the first times. Star Trek was great, it slowly built for me, and was really fun, and was able to stand on it's own, fun movie, that I wouldn't mind seeing again. Law abiding citizen was just crazy and I really need to watch with my full attention again, even if the ending was shit.
Molly
I tend to think of Watson as the Jim Gordon.
Guest
Watched Crank. Don't know what I was expecting, but it was kind of shit.
Dread
The Men Who Stare at Goats-The best movie I've seen ina while. Just a shit-ton of fun.
Venneh
Hey, Des, I may have another godawful chickflick for you to watch that involves whores and "romantic" endings and also has Michele Pfeiffer - Cherie. Look it up.
slothian
I've just watched the movie Speed Racer, ahead of the forthcoming Anime Week on Earth-2. I'll give my thoughts whenever tomorrow's recording hits the site, but I will hint that I really, REALLY hate 90% of all child actors out there. Stavros
The Thick of it- Probably the funniest thing the BBC has produced in years. Really wish there was more of it, there's really only two series and a couple of specials. Plus the film In The Loop. Its just so utterly snappy and well-performed and packed full of bastards. The only guy I can sympathise with (instead of just pitying) is the conservative MP Peter Manion, and he's modelled on people I hate. Check it out if you get the chance, its foul mouthed angry and hilarious political comedy.
Aaron Robinson
Ed Wood. Didn't blow me away or anything, but I found it pretty entertaining.
Stavros
Oldboy- Awesome film in many respects, but I really wish I could un-watch the last 20 minutes, its totally messed up.
