Xbox 360 defects: an inside history of Microsoft’s video game console woes

Recommended Posts

It was a bad decision to rush it out like they did. The problem seems to have been fixed, and they spent billions fixing everyone's consoles. Hopefully they learned from it. I'm still glad I got mine on launch day, but of course that system lasted over 2 years unlike most. Everyone seems to forget Sony had similar problems with the PS2 and the dirty disc errors.

I think the difference is MS came out and put their hands up and Sony keep quiet about it. I do remember cousins and friends of mine having to take PS2's that they bought back cause they were dead on arrival and couldn't read disks and more than one co worker has had PS3 problems

Well, the Elite's got the Falcon chip in it, so it really shouldn't have any issues.

I've had two different Premium systems. Never a problem with either. PS2s die on me quick, which is why I've taught myself how to repair them. NES used to give me problems, but I put a new pin connector in it and it works perfectly now.
