Please tell me you're kidding. Please tell me that wasn't actually part of the story.

If it is true, you have my permission to lie and say you made it up.

What was that movie where the characters decided that Lois Lane would die if she and Superman had sex? I wonder if the writers had gotten stoned, watched that movie, and then wrote the story. Because stoned is the only explanation I can come up with for why someone would actually think that is a good idea.

That was Mallrats, written and directed by Kevin Smith. And given most of Kevin's material throughout his career and his knowledge of comics, I don't think getting stoned was a necessity to write that down. I'll also point out that he's not the first one to think of that. Larry Niven wrote a a piece about it called, "Man of Steel, Woman of Kleenex".

I think he's just saying they'd have to be stoned to think the concept would be work well for a serious story arc in Spiderman. I don't think he was saying anything bad about Mallrats.

Yes, to be fair, I've never seen Mallrats. I just think it's an amazingly stupid idea for a spider-man story.

I'm surprised Vince Russo didn't come up with it.

Please tell me it was throat cancer

Colon cancer?

You people are sick.

I know LOL has been overused and beaten into the ground to the point it has not meant anything for the last 10 years, but literally, LOL.

I can just see Vince Russo using that in a storyline in WCW back in the day, though.
