Missy
Up 'til now the desktop wallpapers have been formatted at 1024x768, mostly because that's the resolution I was using. However, more and more people are using widescreen monitors, including myself. With that in mind, should I start making them with widescreen specs, such as 1280x768? Doug
Yoda, Most website's that offer backgrounds have multiple versions of the wall paper, all at diffrent sizes. So I think thats what you should do, But thats only my opinion.
Guest
I'm just on a standard monitor, but yeah, I'd suggest two versions if you're going to do it that way.

Guest DCAUFan1051
I'm in agreement with everyone else...... I'd also suggest adding the mainpage wallpapers to the archives that way if somone wanted to see an older mainpage wallpaper they could. Missy
I've thought about offering two sizes, but doing so would force me to change the layout of the wallpapers page.

EDIT: oops read it wring but my idea still stands ok then what about adding a section for Mainpage Wallpaper only? also while I'm thinking about it the forum search option needs improving it will not allow you to use spaces when searching for topics example: batman the complete animated series must be typed batmanthecompleteanimatedseries
Doug
I've thought about offering two sizes, but doing so would force me to change the layout of the wallpapers page. I know that would be time consuming, but that would be awesome, since he page wont display properly as it is on my computer.
Missy
ok then what about adding a section for Mainpage Wallpaper only? Sorry, Mike, but I'm not going to start archiving the banners. also while I'm thinking about it the forum search option needs improving it will not allow you to use spaces when searching for topics example: batman the complete animated series must be typed batmanthecompleteanimatedseries If you're looking for an exact phrase, type it in quotes. Missy
As requested, to accommodate those people with widescreen monitors, Earth-2.net will now offer some desktop wallpapers in two sizes: 1024x768 and 1280x768. The first one is of War Machine. On the wallpaper archive page, the widescreen versions will be denoted by a "WS" in the upper-right corner. JackFetch
I use my home computer with my HDTV so I don't use anything unless it's widescreen.
Guest DCAUFan1051
so will the WS format just be on all future wallpapers or past ones as well that are in the archive?
Missy
Only future wallpapers, and even then I'm not sure all of them will be widescreen. It all depends on the image.
