Anyway, here's my response from the other thread. I was into some of the older games back in the day. I stopped at DQ7 and never finished it. As long as you have the patience for it, it is an engrossing game, but I can understand how the pace may put some people off. I'm the one and only person on this board that actually prefers DQ to FF. One thing FF does well is leveling you up during the course of progressing through the quest. DQ requires much more wandering around and fighting random battles to level up.
