KnightWing
Just saw Superman vs. The Elite. Holy balls, that might be the best DCUAM yet.
Stavros
Was that Paul Heyman I heard near the start? Hope so, that guy is perfect for VO work.
David Gallagher
Yay, a mirror universe where characters are darker more evil versions of themselves. Oh wait, they did that. It'll be fun to see a Flash-centric films though, that guy is undervalued as a potential mainstay of the company. I mean, they're out there trying to push the massive unweildy Green Landern mythos on people when they've got a fun guy who's power is the ability to run incredibly fast? DC's movie hierarchy should be Batman/Superman/Flash, no question. Yeah. I think they've never gotten over the cost of the John Wesley Shipp FLash tv series. Sure, it wasn't great, and it cost far too much to make given it's viewing figures but the show was actually not bad by early 90s superhero tv standards! Flash needs a but more respect in live action and as an animated like, not just a JLA appendage.
Stavros
I hope they do get over it. He's basically the closest thing DC have to Spider-man.
David Gallagher
If they really are going through with the JLU films to precede a JL movie then surely within the next 5 years we're getting a big screen Flash movie.
Stavros
He might be like Hawkeye, hinted at and then properly introduced later on.

KnightWing
Well that sucks. I do wonder about this, though: "Given the continuing decline in the direct-to-video film market and shifting business models in the production of digital series, the decision was made to close Warner Premiere." Maybe this implies that DCU projects could be made in the form of purely digital releases instead of traditional home video?

Koete
The next two titles after DKR Part 2 will be Superman: Unbound (adapting Johns' Brainiac story) and Justice League: Flashpoint.
Stavros
Brainiac yes. Flashpoint no....just no.
KnightWing
I think I said this here before, but if Flashpoint is reworked as a standalone Flash story instead of the gigantic crossover event that it became in the comics, it could be plenty fun. The basic plot (Flash ends up in alternate dystopian world; must team with Thomas Wayne to fix it all) is good stuff. So as long as it's executed properly, it should be good. Stavros
I think I've said this before, but haven't we seen enough dystopias with twisted versions of our heroes? Flashpoint is to DC what Age of X was to Marvel- A cheap cash-in extra universe that they could see figures for.
KnightWing
Well, it hasn't been done in a DCUAM yet. Closest thing to it was Crisis on Two Earths, but that was reasonably different.

SuaveStar
Was it just me, or did the guy doing the voice of Superman sound really bored?
Gareth
I thought Dark Knight Returns part 2 was pretty great There were a few things they should have changed from the book that they didn't, like Batman's disguise and the flying gas-dolls. But overall I really enjoyed it.
Stavros
Watched the 15 minute Catwoman movie. I know DC loves to heavily sexualise their female characters and Catwoman is seen as the embodiment of this, but honestly, the literal stripper pole was too much. Plus once again they take the cool practical looking modern outfit and say "how can we make it look whorish? I know, lets have it fully unzipped half the time so we get maximum cleavage!" Seems odd to complain about the sexualisation of female comic book characters but the classic Brubaker/Cooke run was such a revelation in recreating the character as a positive role model that it's still really irritating to see it messed with this much. It's especially disheartening since it was directed by Lauren Montgomery, who did such a fantastic job making Wonder Woman a strong female character. dc20willsave
They really do have a problem with Catwoman. Look up Catwoman's ending in Injustice. Almost every shot of her in it has her ass just sticking out shamelessly.
KnightWing
The entire pitch with the Catwoman short was pure sex and violence, so to some degree it makes sense, but overall, yes, a lot of it just came off stupid. I don't have a problem with Catwoman being sexualized (if they wanna have her shirt unzipped, fine), but it shouldn't ever get to the point where the sex overshadows the story or the character entirely. Then it feels like they're selling softcore porn. I saw Superman: Unbound. Brainiac and Supergirl were voiced excellently, but everything else came off a bit like a disaster. It's maybe my least favorite DCUAM thus far (though Doomsday is still pretty far down there).
Stavros
Superman Unbound- Poor adaptation of the Braniac storyline, but worth it for this bit of daftness- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2hBLKKyGXho
