JackFetch
I quit smoking 5 years ago, but I want these lighters anyways. Banpresto's launched a pre-order of these two beautiful Zippo-style lighters, a Sega Mega Drive and a Sega Saturn which runs through November 6th, with a shipping date sometime in December. Each lighter runs ¥10,500 (around $115). http://www.engadget.com/2009/10/24/sega-lighters-smoking-will-never-be-cool-again/
SuaveStar
I would get the mega drive one and then hang out with people who smoke, but rarely have their own lighter. Then when they see it, find a new set of people and start over again.
KnightWing
I quit smoking 5 years ago, but I want these lighters anyways. You don't need to smoke to use lighters. I know people who have them just because they like fire. It's really kinda creepy until that one time when you need to heat shrinkwrap over car wiring, and then you're grateful that you have pyrophile friends. Guest
I've never smoked and I have all kinds of lighters. I'm obsessed with candles and such so I use them all the time. And those two will be mine.

KnightWing
The complete set of Lantern rings. Comic shops are supposed to give them out for free, but there's some weird stuff going on with it all now. So now Midtown's website is selling a completed set of them for $12.99. As soon as I get $12.99, I'm buying it.
SuaveStar
Aren't they coming out with November comics?
KnightWing
Aren't they coming out with November comics? It gets complicated because they're only being sent to retailers with every 25 issues of certain books. So if the comic shop doesn't buy 25 issues of a certain book, they don't get a certain ring. Some shops are opting out altogether.
Guest
My LCS owner is already holding a green and a red one for me.
KnightWing
Okay, nevermind. I want the metal versions. Not that I'll ever buy that ($229? Really?), but it's still a nice "if the sky were my limit" idea.
dc20willsave
Is it bad that the main reason I wouldn't buy the Power Ring set, outside of not having the cash flow for it, is that the rings are out of order?

KnightWing
Epic shirt: http://shirt.woot.com/friends.aspx?k=8901 NICE! So I went by a comic shop today and saw the lantern rings. They're actually pretty neat-looking. They have a very slight metallic paint over them (or it might be metallic stuff in the plastic itself; I couldn't tell), so they look a lot better than the cheap plastic ring that you might expect. They're really big, though. I didn't get to try one on, but they looked like they were a good bit too big to fit correctly on my hand. SuaveStar
I've put off getting Saint Walker, but that Kryb looks creepily awesome.

SuaveStar
Don't know if it's worth making another thread for christmas lists but: Super mario bros wii. I don't really look out for much for christmas anyway.
Venneh
-Okami (PS2) -Odin Sphere (PS2) Nice. Hah, thanks. Now, it's just a matter of seeing if it's available in places that my parents would be able to find them. (The parents haven't quite figured out online shopping yet, and I don't know if it would be easy to find these in game shops anymore.) You have a better chance of finding Odin's Sphere than Okami at this point.

Guest
Not exactly. Gamestop is in the middle of a huge PS2 purge and both of those games had a very limited printing.
Venneh
Ah, well, worth a shot. Also, I need to get the Dr. Horrible calendar. Just because. (Last year's was Dark Knight.)
