RSS
In this installment of 1st Issue Special, Des and Mike find themselves talking about futuristic bloggers (Citizen Rex #1), death metal bands (Dethklok vs. The Goon), rogue superheroes (Project Superpowers: Chapter Two #1), too much continuity (Star Trek: Spock Reflections #1), and monster hunters (We Kill Monsters #1). Koete
You need to load up your DCBS order with Goon trades Des. Brilliant work by Powell in every one of 'em.
Molly
I'll second the Goon love, and the Metalocalypse love. But, I can see where the book might leave new readers a little lost.
SuaveStar
Rapey rape guy, mmm rape. I want that as a comic. God I'm sick. Anyway, I was going to get the goon issue, but decided against it, just cause I've never seen metalocalypse, and would wait for Koete to say his thoughts as he's a big goon fan. Koete
I agree with Des' caveat to his score. I've never seen Metalacalypse, so the first half of the issue was a bit tough to get through. Once it got to the Goon portion of the issue though, it was a blast since the out of continuity nature of the story allowed them to take things up to 11.
