When you have a group of extremely angry people in close physical proximity, you get a mob. Individual morality and intelligence gets temporarily erased. No one really stops to think about whether what they're doing is "helping" because all they're trying to do is let out their frustration. People are being KILLED by the very people who's job it is to protect and the story is about a burnt down building? Or that a small business owner can't make payroll for a month. PEOPLE ARE DYING. I really could care two shits about someones property. Garner shows it's not just the south, that the US still has a lot of deep, deep issues when it comes to race. And apparently the prosecutor didn't tell the jury that a) a chokehold was used, and b) that the chokehold has been banned by the NYPD since the 80s. I was a groomsmen at his wedding.it hit me like a pack of bricks. I'm not sure if I want to bring it up to him but it really hurt me hard.
