Professor
My dad got me two long boxes stuffed beyond full. And to add to the surprise, they are full of long runs of 70s-80s Iron Man, Avengers & Fantastic Four. From his story, he saw an ad for comics while in a truck stop in the middle of Texas. What makes this a real shock? My dad has never supported my comic collecting. So for him to get me such a gift really is nifty.
Missy
You know you're old when you're more excited to get frying pans, baking tins, hand mixers, and towels over trade paperbacks and a DVD player.

Then I'm old also. Getting cooking supplies was the best part of the holiday for me also. I got some more Alpine touch in there which was the best part. Alpine Touch is a spice blend you can only get in Montana that goes great on anything.

I mostly collect the movies and the comics, though I do have a swank White Rabbit clock.

So, would be safe to assume you two will be reviewing the Tim Burton film together for Earth-2.net The Show when it gets released in a few months? That's a great idea, actually. If you want to record something like that, I'll run it as an episode.

Stavros
Pretty good year, some Miyazaki dvd's, some cd's and books, my digital SLR camera. I'm pretty happy, I stayed over at my brother's and spent the morning watching Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, which has to be one of the most original and inventive animated features of all time. dc20willsave
There's just something that keeps the holidays with you like leftover turkey, dressing, and mashed potatoes reheated into an impromptu casserole. Say what you will about us Yanks, we've perfected keeping leftover as viable foodforms.
Venneh
Just got back from the grandparents' house for extended family Chritsmas. From the grandparents, I got Okami (my grandma figured out GameStop?!), a $25 Best Buy gift card, and a nice pair of earrings; from one of my aunts and uncles, $20 to use at either Red Lobster or Olive Garden; and from my grandpa for the name exchange, Odin Sphere (see above note w/r/t Grandma figuring out GameStop) and Inglourious Basterds (which I am watching tonight with the parents). And my aunt loved the puzzle and Bath and Body Works stuff I got her, so that's good, too.
