RSS
In this episode of Dread Media, Darryll is afraid his wife will find out he and Desmond watched Black Devil Doll. And Desmond doesn't know how to synopsize Nightmare, so he lets the film do it itself. Confused? Join me. Tunes include: "Devil Doll" by The Misfits, "Playing with Dolls" by Slayer, "Welcome to my Nightmare" by Alice Cooper, and "Black Sails at Midnight" by Alestorm. D-Man
If you listen to one podcast movie review this year... whatever. More giggles per minute than any review we've done so far. What a fucked up flick.
Dread
my half-assed attempts at getting serious were smashed by Darryll's inability to allow me to do so. The vodka helped.
Chadzilla
Wow, BDD sounds like the Greatest Bad Movie I will never see. It also reminds of when I saw a promo trailer for it at a science-fiction convention way back in 2007. One of the female leads was there, all I remember about her was that she was blonde and busty, and she looked so embarrassed to be there. The director of the film was this good natured black kid. Excuse me? How could she be in a movie where porno actresses are killed and fucked by a ventriloquist dummy; Where girls get pvc glue squirted in their faces to simulate a cum shot; Where an animated dummy pulls it's pants down, bends over and sprays liquid shit/acid that dissolves a door. She was in that movie and did it with a straight face and then decides she's embarrassed to be doing promotional appearances? Give me a break. slothian
"How do you stay straight-faced when you're being fucked up the ass by a puppet?" might be the greatest riddle I've ever heard. Plaudits, gentlemen - that was one of my favourite DM reviews in quite a while!

I'm just saying I remember them showing the trailer (which was really raunchy, go figure) and then the actress getting introduced, and her smiling rather sheepishly, waving, and looking like she wished she could just melt down through the floor. Why that was.. Oh, wait... I know why. There were some kids in the audience. (Kids that included my, at the time, 13 year old son.)
Dread
Ha! Ugh...brutal. Your wife wasn't there at the time was she? In the Dread book of parenting that's when you slip the 13 year old a beer in exchange for never telling mom what happened.
Chadzilla
No, she wasn't. Thank the Dear-Mythical-Lord for a very small favor.

D-Man
Watching this movie was the most fun I've ever had surrounded by drunk people. I submit this as the best and only way to enjoy this flick. I hope you were drunk also.
Dread
You have to admit, vodka helped with the giggles...
D-Man
Not that I've ever had difficulty giggling on my own merits but, yeah, it didn't hurt.
Guest
Never had a sip of alcohol in my life, and generally find drunks annoying, but hearing them react to puppet-rape was wildly entertaining.

Guest
This episode single-handedly vindicated my purchase of this shitstack. "Enjoy" doesn't begin to cover it.
