RSS
With The Avengers: World Trust, Marvel has finally released Geoff Johns' initial Avengers storyline, but does it live up to expectations? Then in Secret Warriors: God of Fear, God of War, Nick Fury's team of underground heroes do... stuff. Supposedly. And Astro City: Life in the Big City proves that Kurt Busiek knows superheroes better than anyone else. MatthewMG
I think Star-Spangled Kid ran from '99 to '00 and Johns' initial JSA run was '99 or'00 to '05 or '06. When did World Trust come out originally? He might have been writing Avengers and JSA at the same time.
SuaveStar
I thought he was on JSA right up until the reboot as Justice Society, and then left after issue 25. And then the book got shit.
Dread
They're talking about 10 years ago when James Robinson and David Goyer rebooted the team.
Missy
I think Star-Spangled Kid ran from '99 to '00 and Johns' initial JSA run was '99 or'00 to '05 or '06. When did World Trust come out originally? He might have been writing Avengers and JSA at the same time. Johns wrote The Avengers from #57-76, which have cover dates of October 2002 through February 2004. During that window he wrote: Aspen #1-3 The Avengers #57-76 Avengers Icons: The Vision #1-4 Batman #606-607 BPRD: Night Train The Flash #189-205 Hawkman #6, 8-22 Hawkman Secret Files and Origins JSA #39-55 JSA: All Stars #1-8 JLA / JSA: Virtue and Vice The Possessed #1-4 Superman #185-187, 189 Superman: The Man of Steel #133 Teen Titans #1-6 The Thing: Freakshow #3-4 Tomb Raider: Scarface's Treasure Witchblade #67 So, yeah, he was all over the place back then. SuaveStar
Listening now. So, your saying Johns has a thing for burly men in tight costumes?
SuaveStar
Good god, the next episode will be awesome.
Stavros
You guys likened Cap to Barry or Hal in DC. I think his 'make you feel humble but great at the same time' is sort of more how they promote Wonder Woman.
Missy
It's the way Johns writes it, in that man-crush sort of way.
