Guest
If Sandman does nothing for you, then start at Kill Em All and go from there.
James D.
It depends on what tastes you like, Doug. Speed thrash? Kill 'Em All (and "Whiplash" is my favorite KEA tune) Fast-paced hard rock? "Fuel" Something more melodic? "Until It Sleeps" Instrumental? "Orion" or "The Call of Ktulu"
Aaron Robinson
Master of Puppets and Ride the Lighting (the songs, not the albums). GO GO GO.
Dread
Master of Puppets and Ride the Lighting (the songs, not the albums). GO GO GO. Yep. Then Reload. Then grab Death Magnetic. All the youngsters dig that hip new sound.
Guest
I dunno. Enter Sandman is just about their most accessible song and it didn't blow him away, so I figure the older stuff may be a safer bet.
Doug
I dunno. Enter Sandman is just about their most accessible song and it didn't blow him away, so I figure the older stuff may be a safer bet. Kill Em All had a strong guitar acoustics and vocals, and interested me in the band, but I wasn't blown away. It depends on what tastes you like, Doug. Speed thrash? Kill 'Em All (and "Whiplash" is my favorite KEA tune) Fast-paced hard rock? "Fuel" Something more melodic? "Until It Sleeps" Instrumental? "Orion" or "The Call of Ktulu" Fuel had a very stong opening, but its not my type of rock. Until it Sleeps was more up my alley, but again I wasn't satisfied. The vocals threw me off. At this point my hopes of liking the band were pretty low... until I listened to Orion. Wow. Just Wow.
Dread
Why is that? Master of Puppets.
Aaron Robinson
Orion shouldn't be too hard to build off. The Call of Ktulu would be a safe bet.
Guest
Why is that? Cliff Burton. Period.
Kscriv
Fave: The Black Album (Re-Load was close) Best: Master of Puppets For the record I love Hero of the Day, if only because someone made the Wendel Clark: All Heart video to it.
