Molly
So, The Great Mouse Detective is pretty fucking rad.
Stavros
Eh, I really couldn't get along with Mulholland Drive, but at least that's a deliberately weird and alienating film. Groundhog Day and the Godfather?! You're monsters.
Pan-dub
So, The Great Mouse Detective is pretty fucking rad. My favourite Disney film

dc20willsave
I love this on simply the visual level.
Molly
Even before I saw his name, I could tell DelToro was involved, it bears all of his hallmarks: Visually stunning, morbid, Mexican and Ron Perlman. Looks like a good time.
Venneh
That looks amazing. On the other hand, we have our first Left Behind trailer. Jesus take the wheel.
dc20willsave
See, it looks so generic to me (Left Behind) compared to the bullshit insanity that some of the rapture films I've seen have wielded (virtual reality helmets that give you psychic powers for example). Hell, you somehow got Nic Cage and you feature generic Hollywood blonde #17 instead. Not even the signature Nic Cage laugh in the trailer. Speaking of which... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xu1Sr57vE9Q
Molly
That video is the mouth of madness.
Koete
Cage is never going to top Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans, so each new movie is just an exercise in disappointment.
Molly
I still consider Ghost Rider 2 his opus. And I mean that totally sincerely. That is the most Nicolas Cage-y a movie has ever been, and it's wonderful.
dc20willsave
Warners has pushed the release date for Jupiter Rising to February. This is not a good sign. The movie was due out in a couple of months and this is either a sign that they have no confidence in it to have drawing power or its still not done. Either way, not a good sign at all. KnightWing
The Hollywood Reporter is saying that the delay is due to VFX work still needing to be done. So at least it's not a creative problem.

Stavros
Seems perfectly fine, somewhere between the Croods and Dragon. Rihanna seems surprisingly ok as a lead voice actress, although it'd probably take a while before I stop hearing her and start hearing the character. Rjoyadet
Didn't they have a short of that before the "Mr. Peabody" movie?
dc20willsave
A little bit of background: Back in 1983 at Halloween, The Disney Channel aired a live-action Hansel and Gretel special directed and designed by Tim Burton. It was never reaired outside of a couple of art exhibits. This is the definition of "Keep the Tapes Circulating."
