Stavros
I reject your terms like Gerry Adams in the 80's.
Venneh
I'm not that attracted to April's actress, but yeah, I can see where that comes from having watched the ep last night.
Stavros
I not only enjoy The Fifth Element, I enjoy Chris Tucker in The Fifth Element.

Missy
I would like to see that with worldwide data. Also, does that factor in their budgets?
Molly
To be fair, I think some of those movies were made for a party sub and a case of Pabst Blue Ribbon.
KnightWing
Also, Howard the Duck aside, the Marvel movies were all made in the last 14 years, while DC has had fewer movies stretched across a much wider timeframe. If you factor in inflation, there's probably a much wider gap in the "per movie" category.
MaxPower
Agree would love to see world wide figures and inflation adjusted, Or even maybe the last 10 years of something. That being said, it is pretty interesting, if for no other reason than to show DC movies really only has 2 properties worth a damn.
slothian
Agree would love to see world wide figures and inflation adjusted, Or even maybe the last 10 years of something. That being said, it is pretty interesting, if for no other reason than to show DC movies really only has 2 properties worth a damn. Except that Swamp Thing & Swamp Thing II has been missed out. Whilst it won't massively affect the figures, it was still 2 films with a spin-off TV show. And as such, the graphic is not fully representative. 3 properties worth a damn - Supes, Bats & Swamps. EDIT: And apparently there were no Captain America films pre 2011. Edited September 30, 2012 by slothian
dc20willsave
For that matter, Mask of the Phantasm and the Dolph Lundgren Punisher.
Missy
The 1980s Punisher movie never had a proper US theatrical release.
Stavros
That moment when you're watching Star Trek and realise that the interface via which you're doing so is significantly more impressive than the ones they're using on screen. Dread
Ha! Legitimately laughed at that, Tom. Also, I second Ian's comment on Swamp Thing, except it had TWO spinoff TV shows.
KnightWing
I always like to imagine that it's because the time travel in Star Trek changed history so we have iPads and stuff centuries earlier than we should.
Dread
I'm currently watching the 1980 Hammer House of Horror anthology series. Fun hour long movies. American Horror Story is fucking incredible! Sexy and creepy, incredibly well-edited and acted. Megan and I, to wash the terror of AHS out of her mind before bed last night, watched the first 2 episodes of Community and liked it quite a bit. We watched the pilot when it first aired and weren't too interested. We'll watch more.
Venneh
I still haven't finished AHS. Probably should at some point before next season. It gets... interesting. And not the fun kind. Let us know what you think of Community! Also, finally started watching How I Met Your Mother. You were right, Chris and Will and just about everyone else, this is awesome. KnightWing
I thought this was neat, as it pertains to the earlier Enterprise discussion. It's a poll currently running on StarTrek.com: Not that website front-page polls are exactly the most accurate thing out there, but it's nice to see that a lot of people came around after a bit. Dread
Four episodes in to American Horror Story and the relationships are starting to gel. I think I know who Tate and the Gimp are. I love this show. Lots.
dc20willsave
Seth McFarlane is hosting the Oscars. I honestly got to say, I am kinda looking forward to this. While I'm not the biggest fan of Family Guy, Seth himself is quite the showman.
Stavros
He was great on SNL, easily one of the more capable hosts.
dc20willsave
Holy crap, a Seth Rogen film I'm kinda looking forward to (and I swear it's only 66% because of Barbra): And also, the completely NSFW trailer for Movie 43:
Koete
What the...what the fuck did I just watch?
dc20willsave
Movie 43 is a comedy in the vein of Kentucky Fired Movie where it's more a collection of short films, each by different directors.
Koete
Ah, I gotcha. It'll be interesting to see how it does.
