Venneh
I have a smart TV, and it does what I just mentioned.
dc20willsave
When I binge on a console, we never get it but on my lappy it's usually every 2 or 3 hours

Dread
All caught up on my TV. The battle of the Rons and April and Tynnifyr were the two best things that P&R have done in the past two seasons. Also, the ladies night episode of Person of Interest is a high point for the show. It keeps getting better.

The battle of the Rons and April and Tynnifyr were the two best things that P&R have done in the past two seasons. Agreed. Thirded. I watched all five previous seasons of Parks and Rec in the two weeks before the new season premiered; it's been pretty amazing.
Stavros
Watching The Core. I love it because it took Armageddon and said "How could this be stupider?". Like, significantly stupider. Than a Michael Bay film. Better cast though, Aaron Eckhart, Hilary Swank and Stanley Tucci for the win. Also the only think I enjoy more than The Wire is helping other people realise that they love The Wire. Myself and my brother successfully got our dad hooked this evening. Stavros
Watching The Help. You really don't have to go far to make southern white people in the 60's dislikeable. Buncha racists. Plus Lord knows you can't tell the story of segregation in Mississippi without promotional considerations-
Pan-dub
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-china-24566287 Ok, which one of the real protagonists is going to own up to this?
JackFetch
It's Hong Kong. If Jackie Chan movies have shown us anything, it's the Triad.
Stavros
Good work boys, although if it were me I'd have taken a little time to work over the liver, give him some real lasting pain. TNG again. Seems like half of Data's lines are "Theoretically it is possible sir". They'll use it to justify any old technobabble.
JackFetch
Data and Geordie should have about 50 Nobel prizes between them for all the scientific breakthroughs they had every week. They single handedly moved technology ahead 100 years.
KnightWing
Funny thing: because I was raised on Trek and have a really big interest in theoretical science, I actually understand Trek technobabble, at least to the same degree that the writers did. I can usually tell when they're actually being accurate and when they're making it up on the spot. TNG in particular was surprisingly accurate, but they did have a good number of episodes where they apparently confused science with magic. "Unnatural Selection" is the most notable one off the top of my head, where the transporter became a magic fix-all device that contradicts its own logic. JackFetch
One other thing about TNG: Sometimes it felt like Picard was always on a suicide mission. I don't think he really cared if he lived or not. He just went straight at a problem head first until his crew came up with a solution, and didn't really care if they couldn't. KnightWing
I think all the captains to some degree are a little insane, maybe except for Archer.
JackFetch
On Thanksgiving night, November 28 (9:30-11:00 p.m., ET), ABC will air the 90-minute special, "Lady Gaga & The Muppets' Holiday Spectacular."
KnightWing
I hope Lady Gaga appears only in muppet form. If so, I will watch this.
Stavros
The episode I was referring to was when they're looking for the Prometheus, and Data uses the phrase twice. Once innocuously, and once to describe the possibility of used a phasing cloak from 12 years earlier that was tested on a much smaller ship, and he did it without ever seeing the device or understanding how it theoretically might work. But yeah, the technobabble in tng is quite consistent. The problem mostly comes with voyager where they might as well say "reverse the polarity of the neutron flow" every other episode. It's never as bad in DS9 because they're more about human solutions. Of all the captains, I consider Archer and Janeway the most inconsistent and insane. I am actually really excited for this. Outside of Gaga and the Muppets, Kristen Bell, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Elton John, and RuPaul are supposed to put in appearances. As for Gaga appearing in Muppet Form, depending on what she wears, could you tell the difference?
Venneh
Ron Perlman is going to star in the David Lynch directed Tom Waits biopic that's been in development hell the last few years. Yes please. EDIT: ...that was a humor site. DERP.

Stavros
Another rare moment where an actor is hired to play a better actor. Man it, now you've got me mentally casting Kellen Lutz as the lead role in You Talkin' To Me: The Robert D Niro story.
KnightWing
Of all the captains, I consider Archer and Janeway the most inconsistent and insane. That's funny; those are the two I consider the most sane. Picard let an entire planet of people die for no reason, Kirk had issues with life purpose and making rash choices, and Sisko was almost-literally driven mad because he had the Prophets in his head. Also, something about Avery Brooks' acting makes me feel like Sisko is barely in control of his own emotions and is always on the edge of snapping.
