SuaveStar
SNES had great graphics, great games and a great controller for the time, and had a long life span. SMW is still one of the best games today, and it was one of, if not the first games on the SNES.
Kscriv
SNES, better library of games as far as I'm concerned, and that was the strong suit for each of these system.

KnightWing
D'aww. This vote doesn't even seem fair. Poor Dreamcast.
Guest
Sales - SNES. Longevity - SNES, obviously. Impact - Dreamcast. The SNES was less an innovator than it was just a polishing of previous good ideas. Games - It's close, but the SNES. Just the sheer volume and variety clinch it here. Plus, Chrono Trigger. That's right, I just voted against my favourite system of all time.

dc20willsave
I loved the Dreamcast but the SNES was the first love of my life. It's fun, dependable, and I can play FF6 on it.
MaxPower
SNES. I bought one of those just to play Super Street Fighter II (I think it was).
J Marv
SNES. Mainly on the strength of its games. The fact that it sold better helps too.

Missy
Like some people have said, the games are the major factor here. Graphically, the Super Nintendo took everything the NES did right and improved upon it. And they hold up very well. Right now I could pop in Super Mario World or A Link to the Past, and be both challenged and impressed.
