It looks alot like it, and sounds like it but there were major continuity issues. They used the same animation style and Tim Daly and Dana Delany were cast in the same roles as Superman: TAS. That, however, is where the similarity stops. It can't be in continuity. The portrayal of Luthor was not in character. Brainiac's origin was different as well.
