I'm psyched because I love Green Lantern and Kilowog is awesome. Like Knightwing and Stavros said, it looks like fun. Looking forward to it. Why make your characters computer-generated when you don't have the money or can't be arse enough to give them texture? To be fair, 2D animated characters in DC animation don't really have texture either; they're just flat color with shading, exactly like this new CG stuff. It fits the sci-fi theme and it has great depth to it. It also seems to have a real smoothness and expressiveness that most other animated series, 2D or 3D, don't have. Or maybe because the Reds are more different from the GLs than the Sinestros are. It's a little easier to have an action series for kids with villains that are all RAAARGH RAAARGH I'M EVIL. I think I remember a comment from Timm awhile back saying that they couldn't use the Sinestro Corps because they hadn't shown up yet in the movies, but the Reds were working out just fine in the meantime. If they had to make a CG show I'm glad the hero was Green Lantern because he's the only hero that it would fit. I'm looking forward to it. And I'm guessing they arent using The Sinestro Corps because it might confuse some of the kids that saw Sinestro in the movie as a good guy. I'm definitely looking forward to this show. It's done in a style clearly aimed at kids, but there's a definite mature angle to it all. There's some good drama in parts of it. But most of all, it's fun. I was really pleasantly surprised at how strong this series' opener was and am really looking forward to seeing where the show goes from here. I thought it was funny when the ship said what they would need for the construct part and Kilowog was like "I make hammers" I loved the fight scenes in it. The flying looked fine to me.
