It is a pretty standard origin story for Doctor Strange. It's got Baron Mordo as the bad guy. That's all gone. Marvel's new thing is no more origin stories. So, Dr. Strange movie no longer has an origin. It begins in medias res. It has Dr. Strange already established as the Sorcerer Supreme. It is a totally new script. Jon Spaihts is working totally new, On his own, without any of the previous stuff. I don't mind origin stories but when every single movie needs to be one, then it just becomes downright annoying. At most, he can exposition to Wong/whatever character they bring in for him to do so to. Anyway around, just going to nice having a story that goes right into the action. He can do the vocal rumble I think Strange needs, and honestly, I am really fucking okay with a MCU movie being nothing but two hours of visual and vocal porn for the ladies.
