James D.
THAT. WAS. AWESOME.
KnightWing
Yeah, it really was. I liked its slower pace. It felt more like the books, where you're just following the characters' lives, rather than the past films where you just got a rapid-fire jam-packed plot that didn't have time for many quiet character moments. BTW, how weird was that naked makeout vision thing?
dc20willsave
BTW, how weird was that naked makeout vision thing? Very. I enjoyed it. The only downside is that you knew there was no chance at resolution but it ended on the right notes and it's all ready to go into the next film. Koete
I've been lukewarm on the Harry Potter films since the fourth one, but I was quite impressed with "Deathly Hallows, Part 1." Appropriately dark and full of great scenes. Said great scenes: Hermoine erasing her parents' memories of her, the first scene with Voldemort and the Death Eaters, the Harry/Hermoine dance, and the cemetery. slothian
I saw Part 1 on the way to Chicago and I will admit that it was very good - probably an improvement on the book. As such, I'll likely see part 2 when it's released.
KnightWing
It's so great that the Potter films really have progressed to the point where they're just excellent dramatic films, regardless of genre.
MaxPower
That looks far too badass for a kids movie.... That said, the movies stopped being kids movies around the Order of Phoenix.
slothian
It's so great that the Potter films really have progressed to the point where they're just excellent dramatic films, regardless of genre. I wouldn't go that far.
James D.
Even the worst Harry Potter movie is amazingly good. That said, I couldn't even tell you off the top of my head if there is a "worst Harry Potter movie".

TEASE: More on that to come, if my co-host and I ever get to record our first podcast (we've had several delays).
Gareth
That looks far too badass for a kids movie.... That said, the movies stopped being kids movies around the Order of Phoenix. I'd say they stopped being kids movies after Columbus left.
JackFetch
I refuse to sit down and watch part one until part two comes out so I can watch them together.
Gareth
I wish they would release some version that would include both parts together in the same movie, cutting out the Part 1 credits and the Part 2 opening
JackFetch
I wish they would release some version that would include both parts together in the same movie, cutting out the Part 1 credits and the Part 2 opening You know they will do that after the first run of part two dvd and Blu-Rays go out. They need to milk that cow until it's just powder going in the bucket.

Koete
After Part 1 was the best of the films by a country mile, I have high expectations for this.
dc20willsave
It looks like they're keeping in the duel between Molly Weasley and Bellatrix Lestrange. Considering that was a crowning moment of awesome for the series in my opinion, HELL YES!!!!

KnightWing
Part 1 was the best of the films by a country mile meh. Chris speaks the truth. Deathly Hallows Part 1 is the first and only HP film to really give the characters ample time to develop. It leaves the others in a pile of nargle dust. Gareth
Okay okay, Deathly Hallows is probably the best film, I'll admit that. But it’s certainly not my favorite.
