Dan
Yeah, that's a Chick Tract for you. The guy cannot draw kids for shit. Case in point: So, is that one against Halloween, or education in general? Chick Tracts are hilarious to me now, but when I was a kid, I was given one by some door-to-door weirdo and it freaked me the fuck out. We were a "church every Sunday" family growing up, so I was open to the idea that not paying rapt attention in church would condemn me to the Hell so lovingly detailed in the comic the stranger at the door gave me. My dad wound up chasing the guy down the street.
dc20willsave
It's actually an end-times one, The Last Generation. It's also notable for featuring the worst dressed Super-villain of all time:

Dan
This site tracks and compiles sales figured from 1960 to the present. There's some fascinating reading here if you're into that kind of thing.
Pan-dub
I just saw Alan Moore in Morrissons. I didn't want to bother him while he was doing his weekly shop but from a quick glance he was treating himself to some fruit scones. Glad to know he's got a nice Saturday night ahead of him! Kenny Evil
I think you mean "The Original Writer"
Stavros
Man, that's his rap name right there.
Dread
Oh sweet irony. Moore is not the original writer of Miracleman.
Koete
I know this question has been raised over the past few years, but seriously, what happened to John Cassaday?
Dread
Ewww...I sense a hint of modern Howard Chaykin in there. That ain't good.
Kenny Evil
Commission by Cliff Robinson, an artist who did a lot of work on Dredd in the 80s and still provides covers and strips to this day. It's a shame IDW lost the license to Doctor Who as they're the only people who could have pulled this off and I would really love to see this story. Kenny Evil
IDW is adding 9 dark judges for their Judge Dredd series. I think this is a misstep on their part. The four Dark Judges are like the original nWo and it feels like the 9 they're adding are like Buff Bagwell and Stevie Ray.
Stavros
Great, it's going to be like three years before he good guys get a win in that book, and even then it'll be tainted.
SuaveStar
Is it just me, or did the Ultimate Spider-Man comic feel rushed at times? I get that Bendis' strength is in character development and dialogue, but it just sometimes feels like, he just rushes through the fight scenes, the climax to stories, to get back to telling character centric situations. Like with the Carnage arc, and how Carnage is just, easily defeated. Also, I really felt like, a year before the death of Ultimate Spider-Man, that Bendis was dead set in rushing through Peter's stories, to try and get to the Miles Morales stuff. I will say, even Bendis couldn't make the clone saga utterly stupid, no matter how hard he tried to keep it short and interesting, it was still confusing, and a bit odd. KnightWing
USM lowered in quality quite a bit after the Venom arc. IMO, nothing was ever as good as arcs 2-4 (Kingpin, Doc Ock, Green Goblin). But Bendis still wrote it with a level of self-importance afterward, which just made everything insufferably pretentious. Venneh
Absolutely insane Superman project announced. "My secret project is announced Im writing a three-part Adventures of Superman epic entitled Strange Visitor, collaborating with an insane roster of artists including Ming Doyle, Brent Schoonover, David Williams, Al Gordon, Tula Lotay and Jason Shawn Alexander, all under a cover by Jon Bogdanove. With Earth exploding around them, Old Man Kamandi tells the Last King of America the seventy five year parable of Superman, from 1938 to 2013, leading to humanitys final damnation or salvation, concluding with a look at the end of all existence with Supermans final act in the universes entropic death rattle." Dread
Hmmm...it sounds like a prestige format Elseworlds they did in the 90s.
Stavros
Plot bet- The Last King of America is revealed as Superman in the end.
Dan
You know how sometimes you're poking around on eBay and you see a comic that has Ben Grimm on the cover wearing a Beatle wig and you're all "Oh my Christ I need to own that"? No? Just me?
dc20willsave
I'm more wondering why the wig isnt burning off The Human Touch's head.
SuaveStar
I'm more wondering why the wig isnt burning off The Human Touch's head. Because he's wearing flame retardant hairspray.
Dread
Plot bet- The Last King of America is revealed as Superman in the end. Stavros
Plot bet- The Last King of America is revealed as Superman in the end. Did you read the same prestige format Elseworlds tale I did, or are you really good at guessing stuff? I'm going to guess that I'm good at guessing stuff! I mean, for that sort of thing it's usually revealed that he was secretly there all along, like with Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow. Superman just like retiring and growing a moustache.
