RSS
It's the return of the audio Tranquil Tirades! James and Damien welcome newcomer Michael to the fray as they tackle the cinematic debacle known as DOA: Dead or Alive. Absurdity abounds as characters change race, gain superpowers, and often just disappear from the movie completely! The guys also manage to praise Kevin Nash and ogle Helena while discussing all of the other joys offered by the film, namely incest, generic fighting, and Eric Roberts wearing magic sunglasses. Missy
You do not know how amazingly hard it was to find a banner / album image that didn't look like it was taken from a porno.

Garfield
You do not know how amazingly hard it was to find a banner / album image that didn't look like it was taken from a porno. I think that shows how awful that movie was.
dc20willsave
Great job as always. Dear god, it always surprises me when Hollywood takes a look at a movie like DOA, realizes it made a huge mistake, and practically buries it. Still, the movie is definitely a favorite for bad movie nights. Also, Eric Roberts is probably the king of Bad Cinema. The guy was in Sharktopus. I think you can hang up your actor's hat after choosing to be in that film.
You Know Who
It pains me to complain about an episode of Earth-2.net: The Show featuring the hilarious team that is James Deaux and Dubs, but I nearly fell asleep during this episode. James' roommate was frankly a rather weak co-star even for someone contributing to a podcast for the first time (look how funny Pandy was in his first appearance on For Your Ears Only). I really hope he doesn't come back for the next audio addition of Tranquil Tirades. Some background about the game and its characters before the review would also have helped for those of us who have never played it. Tell me I'm wrong and that I'm being a bitch about it, but that's seriously how I feel about this episode.

He stumbled over his words a few times but go back and listen to the first episode of The Show. Even the pros had to start somewhere. As for background, I personally think that knowing more about the characters getting horribly uncharacteristic of themselves makes the suffering worse. It's part of what makes Street Fighter as painful as it is. Same for Dragon Ball Evolution and so many other film adaptations gone horribly wrong. Missy
That the episode wasn't for you, I don't take issue with. However, your closing statement really pisses me off. Though not everyone on this site sees eye-to-eye, I'm very proud of the fact that name-calling is kept to a minimum. So to imply that you'll be told you're "being a bitch about it" does not sit right with me. At all.

Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

I did not in any way mean to invite name-calling of that level on the forums and sully a website that so many people have worked hard to make great. Guest
Mike is here to stay. Considering it's the first time he's ever done this, he's actually well ahead of the curve. Hell, go back and listen to my old G3 segments for The Show or any edition of Brainscan. Actually don't, cause they were horrible. Honestly, I wasn't sure about adding a third to the crew myself but Mike kept up with James and I (not an easy feat at times) and he's already formed his own role within the trio. James is the sardonic straight-man, Mike is the abrasive jokester, and I'm whatever the hell I am. It may take some time to perfect the dynamic, but it's only going to get better from here. Sorry this one wasn't for you. We'll see if future episodes change your opinion.
James D.
Dubs, you're the play-by-play guy, who can psychoanalyze any scene with a fine-toothed comb. Not to mention, you and Mike (Cole) know more about movies than I'll ever know--especially horror movies. And as for the criticism earlier, I think Mike should be cut a little slack for at least the first 2-3 episodes. He had never done a podcast before. My suggestion to him for next time is to be a little louder. He seemed a bit too reserved, but I guarantee it was just apprehension because it was his first podcast recording. And frankly, the bottom line is--he's my best friend, so I'm not kicking him off the show.
Koete
From someone who's done his share of podcasts, nobody sounds like a broadcasting veteran their first time up to the mic.
