RSS
This week, it's an all-DC Comics edition of your favorite review series, as the guys examine four comic books: Action Comics Annual #13, Batman: Orphans #1, Jonah Hex #62, and Teen Titans #89. The above is from: http://www.earth-2.net/reviews/c/iiwy/iiwy-
Missy
Tom, the closing of your Batman: Orphans #1 review is classic!
Stavros
Thanks, I was trying to think what to compare this to and Kevin Smith's useless Bat-books was the closest thing. This is like that, minus the stupid inappropriateness but also minus Kevin Smith's name to sell it.
SuaveStar
I agree with you about Teen Titans, if Damian is pulled off the book, it would be back to shit, and yeah, nobody else really gets a moment to shine like Damian. Also, I'm one of the people who IF Damian ever left the Titans, I would go back to not giving a flying fuck about the team. None of them interest me. prez
Tom, "Batman: Orphans" will, I assume, tie into the "Batman, Inc." storyline: My guess is that once the REAL Batman saves this messed up group from whomever is training them, at least one of them will be a member of "Batman, Inc." My guess would be the newest "recruit" will become a Batman in some Spanish-speaking country. Ret-conning in a new Batman or Robin disciple? Sucks. But it's no worse than anything else they've done. You're probably right, the Batman logo on the front matches up with the new Batman Inc one. That being said retconning in anything to do with this just sucks. Batman back then was a hard-ass who basically told Stephanie Brown she wasn't good enough to be Robin. Now he's just letting anyone join in on the action, his standards have gone to pot. Of course we'll get 15 new Batmen and Cassie Cain will still be in comics wilderness. Also, who thinks that Bruce is only doing this to make the name mean less, so it's not as big a deal that Dick has the mantle?
