KnightWing Posted July 16, 2012 Report Posted July 16, 2012 I'm excited to see Thor turned into a tiny pink rabbit and fight the dark wizard Agahnim. Quote
JackFetch Posted July 26, 2012 Report Posted July 26, 2012 A stuntman leaked some interesting info: "I had a load of stunt guys in and the director came in and he said 'Look, we want you all to be elves,' and I was like 'What the hell is an elf anyway?' and he said 'I want you all to walk around like these supernatural animals,' honestly it was the most ridiculous thing ever but you just have to not be self-aware and get on with it." Also, they are filming in the tunnels under London. The Dark World makes sense when you think about Dark Elves being the enemies. Quote
Koete Posted August 2, 2012 Author Report Posted August 2, 2012 Christopher Eccleston is in final talks to play the villain. Quote

Stavros Posted August 2, 2012 Report Posted August 2, 2012 Christopher Ecclestone as a villain you say? I'm not sure this will work /sarcasm Quote
JackFetch Posted August 22, 2012 Report Posted August 22, 2012 Kat Dennings is set to reprise her role as Darcy Lewis in Marvel Studios' Thor: The Dark World, Deadline reports. What's more, they're saying that the character will be given an expanded role in the November 8, 2013 release. Dennings, who now stars on CBS' "Two Broke Girls," joins returning cast members Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Jaimie Alexander, Stellan Skarsgard and Idris Elba as well as newcomers Zachary Levi and Christopher Eccleston. http://www.superherohype.com/news/articles/172339-kat-dennings-back-for-thor-the-dark-world- Quote
Molly Posted August 22, 2012 Report Posted August 22, 2012 She was the worst part of the first movie. Great rack, but annoying as hell. Quote
JackFetch Posted August 22, 2012 Report Posted August 22, 2012 I liked her. She offset Natalie Portman's serious portrayal of Jane Foster. The movie needed someone to lighten the mood or it would have taken itself too serious. Quote
dc20willsave Posted August 22, 2012 Report Posted August 22, 2012 I'm calling it now. She ends up in a romantic subplot with Zachary Levi's character. Quote
Stavros Posted August 22, 2012 Report Posted August 22, 2012 She was the worst part of the first movie. Great rack, but annoying as hell. As comedic sidekicks go she's not exactly Rob Schnieder, I'm all for her coming back. Not sure what they mean by expanded role though, how much scope does her character have? Quote

Probably the same way Jon Favereau had an expanded role in Iron Man 2, nothing big, just more stuff to do than the first film. Quote
Venneh Posted August 23, 2012 Report Posted August 23, 2012 We have another villain - Algrim the Strong/Kurse! Quote
JackFetch Posted October 13, 2012 Report Posted October 13, 2012 The official synopsis: Marvel's "Thor: The Dark World" continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. In the aftermath of Marvel's "Thor" and "Marvel's The Avengers," Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos...but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all. Starring Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgård, Idris Elba, Christopher Eccleston, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Kat Dennings, Ray Stevenson, Zachary Levi, Tadanobu Asano and Jaimie Alexander with Rene Russo and Anthony Hopkins as Odin, "Thor: The Dark World" is directed by Alan Taylor, produced by Kevin Feige, from a story by Don Payne (credit not final) and screenplay by Christopher Yost and Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely (credit not final) and is based on Marvel's classic Super Hero Thor, who first appeared in the comic book "Journey into Mystery" #83 in August, 1962. "Thor: The Dark World" is presented by Marvel Studios. The executive producers are Louis D'Esposito, Alan Fine, Stan Lee, Victoria Alonso, Craig Kyle and Nigel Gostelow. The film releases November 8, 2013, and is distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. Quote
JackFetch Posted October 29, 2012 Report Posted October 29, 2012 So I heard some major spoilers about the movie: We will see glimpses of all the realms when Thor uses his hammer to punch through them while traveling. Jane Foster is possessed by an ancient spirit tied to the Dark Elves. Thor brings Jane back to Asgard and they must go to the dark side of Asgard but the only one that knows the way is Loki. Asgard gets destroyed by the Dark Elves, and Thor has to rebuild it. Quote
MaxPower Posted October 30, 2012 Report Posted October 30, 2012 There isn't anything about those spoilers that I don't like. Quote

prez Posted November 5, 2012 Report Posted November 5, 2012 I'm pretty sad that Josh Dallas had to drop out as Fandral, because he was bound to get more screen time in this film. I just can't see Zachary Levi in a supporting action role as a dashing swordsman. Quote
Stavros Posted April 23, 2013 Report Posted April 23, 2013 Sorta so-so until the ending, which reminded me how awesome this might be. Looks pretty though. Quote
Venneh Posted April 23, 2013 Report Posted April 23, 2013 Looks like another fun watch, which is what I look for from these movies. Also, Loki looks like Tommy Wiseau. Quote
Missy Posted April 23, 2013 Report Posted April 23, 2013 "I did not betray you! I did not! Oh, hi, Thor!" Quote
