JasonC
If they actually introduce the Natasha/Bucky relationship in the movie, that'll be really good. Heck, it could even set the two of them up for their own spin-off espionage/action movie series. But what about Hawkeye? They spent all that time in Avengers setting up their partnership to just drop it?
KnightWing
...Yes? Or maybe Hawkeye is in a movie alongside Bucky and Widow. Make it a weird love triangle dealie.
JackFetch
Captain America: The Winter Soldier has found its female lead in "Revenge" star Emily VanCamp, Deadline reports. VanCamp's name was not among those included in the site's short list last fall. Though the new female character is not yet confirmed, it is said to be a romantic interest to Chris Evans' Steve Rogers. Fans of the comics know that the odds point to the role being that of Sharon Carter. Originally the sister of Peggy Carter (played in Captain America: The First Avenger by Hayley Atwell), Sharon was later retconned to be Peggy's niece. VanCamp will join Chris Evans, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Frank Grillo, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Scarlett Johansson and Toby Jones in the April 4, 2014 release. The sibling pair of Anthony and Joe Russo will direct. http://www.superherohype.com/news/articles/174795-emily-vancamp-joins-captain-america-the-winter-soldier

JackFetch
Don't forget one of the most successful comedies of all time, There's Something about Mary. It was also directed by brothers. One of the funniest movies ever made, Airplane, actually had three directors.
slothian
I think you can cherry-pick films to argue both sides of the point. But I agree that you shouldn't dismiss multi-director films from the outset.

NightAngle04
I don't know who the new love interest is. Sad to see Emilia Clarke didn't get it.

Venneh
Variety recently caught up with Marvel movie head Kevin Feige to talk a little bit about his schedule, and working to get Phase Two off the ground. He was also asked about the whether or not he thought the superhero movie was just a fad. He said he didn’t believe that the genre is a fad, because each one is so different. He then compared the first Captain America movie to the next one, which is about to start shooting. “Our first Captain America film was a World War II picture, and the next is a political thriller. They all have their own textures and patinas, and that’s what is exciting about it,” Feige explained. Source

JackFetch
Another Marvel Universe villain is set to appear in Anthony and Joe Russo's Captain America: The First Avenger as Latino Review reports that UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St-Pierre will be playing French kickboxing master Georges Batroc, AKA Batroc the Leaper. With origins dating all the way back to 1966's "Tales of Suspense" #75, Batroc doesn't have any superhuman abilities beyond his mastery of martial arts. While he's primarily a Cap foe, he's appeared throughout the Marvel Universe and done battle with the likes of Spider-Man, the Punisher, Iron Fist and many more. St-Pierre, who hails from Quebec, has previously appeared in the martial arts films Death Warrior and Never Surrender, both directed by Hector Echavarria.http://www.superherohype.com/news/articles/175757-ufc-champion-georges-st-pierre-joins-captain-america-the-winter-soldier Batroc the Motherfuckin Leaper

Stavros
Batroc Ze Leaper is so flippin BOSS. No idea about GSP's acting but physically he's perfect. Wonder if they'll throw the face fuzz on him. Or the purple suit. Mainly I'm just hoping he gets to run around kicking dudes in the face.
