JasonC Posted October 20, 2012 Report Posted October 20, 2012 Considering the ending flashback of the last episode has someone shooting him with an arrow, I suspect we might be about to... Quote
Dread Posted October 22, 2012 Report Posted October 22, 2012 What a festering pile of shit this show is. Not a decent actor in the bunch. The hackiest script I've seen on TV in some time (talking to his father's grave? Really? what year is this?). Awful. The latest episode of this show was worse than the fucking witch episode of Smallville for Christ's sake! What a waste. Quote

Dread Posted October 22, 2012 Report Posted October 22, 2012 And it looks cheap. Really cheap. There's literally nothing going for this show. Quote
KnightWing Posted October 22, 2012 Report Posted October 22, 2012 The latest episode of this show was worse than the fucking witch episode of Smallville for Christ's sake! What a waste. ...Are we watching the same shows? Have you actually seen the witch episode of Smallville? Arrow is somewhat bland, to be sure. But some of those season 4 Smallville episodes were like shoving steaming, liquid feces down your throat. Quote
NightAngle04 Posted October 25, 2012 Report Posted October 25, 2012 Did my ears deceive me? In the previews for next week did I hear the word Bludhaven? Quote
KnightWing Posted October 25, 2012 Report Posted October 25, 2012 I heard it too. Given that Huntress is going to be in the show at some point, I've wondered if any of the actual Bat-family will show up in future seasons. It'd certainly be cool. Quote
NightAngle04 Posted October 26, 2012 Report Posted October 26, 2012 I know the character will never show up just give me a mention of "Bludhaven has its own vigilante problem" and I'll be quite happy. I know Nightwing is never getting a show, just give me that. Quote
Mull Posted November 2, 2012 Report Posted November 2, 2012 Nice surprise seeing John Barrowman on the show Quote
JasonC Posted November 2, 2012 Report Posted November 2, 2012 There was indeed a Bluhaven shout out. Arrow chains a guy to the train tracks as an interrogation technique. As in 'answer me or I leave you for the 10.15 to Bludhaven'. Quote
NightAngle04 Posted November 10, 2012 Report Posted November 10, 2012 I thought the Deathstroke fight scene was good. Quote
KnightWing Posted November 10, 2012 Report Posted November 10, 2012 I concur. I mean, it's clearly done on a TV budget, but it's pretty sweet considering. Quote
Missy Posted November 10, 2012 Report Posted November 10, 2012 Sorry, but that looks like a shitty fan-film with a big enough budget to hire two local martial artists. Quote
Dread Posted November 10, 2012 Report Posted November 10, 2012 Sorry, but that looks like a shitty fan-film with a big enough budget to hire two local martial artists. Thank you! This show is fucking awful. Bush league at best. You want an actual superhero show on TV worth watching? Person of Interest. Fight scenes worth watching. Characters written well. No one talking to gravestones. Quote
Stavros Posted November 10, 2012 Report Posted November 10, 2012 Not exactly how I envisioned Deathstroke in action, aside from catching the arrow he's just a guy there. Plus I shouldn't be watching something like this and thinking about how closely it resembles Power Rangers. Except that Power Rangers has better fights generally. I mean I'm not saying that fight was without talent or merit or anything but it's strictly Putty vs Pink Ranger territory. Quote
KnightWing Posted November 10, 2012 Report Posted November 10, 2012 Regardless, I still thought it was fun. Quote
NightAngle04 Posted November 10, 2012 Report Posted November 10, 2012 Sorry, but that looks like a shitty fan-film with a big enough budget to hire two local martial artists. Its the CW. That probably is the budget. Quote
JasonC Posted November 12, 2012 Report Posted November 12, 2012 Sorry, but that looks like a shitty fan-film with a big enough budget to hire two local martial artists. . You want an actual superhero show on TV worth watching? Person of Interest. Fight scenes worth watching. Characters written well. No one talking to gravestones. Person of Interest is one of the three shows on TV that I will watch no matter what. It's amazing with - as Dread says - well written characters and good storylines. And the Machine is interesting too, especially in the flashbacks. Quote
NightAngle04 Posted November 28, 2012 Report Posted November 28, 2012 So not only is the Huntress going to be on soon, but today I learn that Count Vertigo and Firefly willl be upcoming villains on the second half eps Its disturbing that the only female on the show the actor playing Oliver has any chemistry with is the actress playing his sister. Quote
JasonC Posted November 29, 2012 Report Posted November 29, 2012 The Huntress was this week. And it wasn't good. Although there was one interesting thing John Barrowman is Tommy's father! On the not so interesting front, Helena and Oliver know each others secret identities. And then have sex. Two people obsessed with vengeance to the exclusion of all else, in a relationship? With each other? This isn't going to end well. At all. Not even slightly. I am starting to get annoyed with this show. Quote
KnightWing Posted November 30, 2012 Report Posted November 30, 2012 I really liked the episode until the last third, where it devolved entirely into sappy soap opera stuff. Still, though, really interested to see the next episode. It's neat that they're doing arcs and continuing character subplots. Also, I like the fact that Tommy is a relatable/likable character now. Quote
JasonC Posted November 30, 2012 Report Posted November 30, 2012 I hereby make a prediction about Huntress: She will die in Ollie's arms. Tommy is the most relatable character in the show for me, followed by Ollie's sister. I will be interested to see where they go with him now. Quote
NightAngle04 Posted December 13, 2012 Report Posted December 13, 2012 The IT girl Felicity should be a regular, she's tremendous. I'm all for her being a love interest further down the line even. Quote
KnightWing Posted December 13, 2012 Report Posted December 13, 2012 It's really hard not to like her. Quote
NightAngle04 Posted January 19, 2013 Report Posted January 19, 2013 Granted granted, I'm sure most people have 0 idea who Firefly is, but I was surprised that they just killed him off just like that. Quote
