You Know Who
Continuing the theme of Disney movies from the last poll, what is your favorite segment from the classic Disney film Fantasia? What is the best? My favorite is the Rite of Spring suite, but the best, especially in terms of animation, is probably Night on Bald Mountain. Gareth
Night on Bald Mountain easily for both. Amazing animation and music, unlike anything Disney has ever done. I also love Right of Spring and Pastoral, but Night on Bald Mountain is just brilliant from start to finish.
Koete
"Night on Bald Mountain" for both, definitely.

slothian
Dance of Hours for favourite, but I can't argue against Night at Bald Mountain for best. I found that legitimately frightening as a child, but then, I was an absolute wuss as a child. I didn't know that The Rite of Spring was so popular. That's not a criticism because, Ave Maria aside, I don't think there's a weak music/animation combo in the film.
dc20willsave
Nutcracker Suite definitely is my favorite. The animation perfectly matches the music. I voted Night on Bald Mountain as the best but with the caveat that it would not be half as effective without Ave Maria directly after it.
