The last two episodes of Person of Interest have been fuckdiculously good. Never has a song been used as well as Johnny Cash's version of "Hurt" been used so well cinematically on television as it was in the opening of the last episode. Insane.

Everybody watching shit like Arrow, The Walking Dead, Sleepy Hollow and Elementary need to get their act together and catch up on a great action series. This show is The Shadow. But The Shadow is an AI computer system.

Out of the ones that I'm not watching just for the lulz (Once, Sleepy Hollow)?

Comedy wise, Parks and Rec. Drama wise, tie between Hannibal and Game of Thrones.

Right now, this is a pretty simple sum-up of the shows I'm watching this season:

Korra - Iroh ep has been the only one to genuinely interest me for most of the season. Need to watch the finale.

Agents of Shield - Give me the FitzSimmons/Coulson show any day, I could literally not give a fuck about the rest of the cast.

Once Upon a Time - Let's see how the writers can out ridiculous themselves this week

Once Wonderland - Trainwreck, but they're committed for X number of episodes, so let's see how horrible it can get in a given week!

Sleepy Hollow - Let's see the ridiculous twists they do this week, but also genuinely good interpersonal relationships, and the man out of time aspect is pretty well handled.

Dracula - It's definitely a thing, plot machinations are starting to move but it's very start/stop. Lesbian Lucy is interesting, though, and apparently the overseas audiences are getting a lot of stuff that's cut for States audiences.

HIMYM - oh yeah, this is still happening, I need to catch up on this. Last I'd seen, it was managing to hold steady, but the one weekend format is quickly wearing thin.

Parks and Rec - still one of the best shows on TV.

Fox is formalizing its 2014-15 schedule, renewing the bulk of its Tuesday comedy block as well as Kevin Williamson's serial killer drama The Following for additional seasons.

New Girl, The Mindy Project and Golden Globe winner Brooklyn Nine-Nine will return for their fourth, third and second seasons, respectively, while The Following will be back for a third run.

The renewals further cement Fox's lineup as the network continues to shift toward more year-round programming. The four series join previously renewed scripted fare including Sleepy Hollow, Bones, Glee, Bob's Burgers and The Simpsons. The future of Friday bubble comedy Raising Hope as well as the remainder of the network's freshman and veteran fare will be determined closer to the network's upfront presentation to Madison Avenue ad buyers in May.

"These shows are some of the best and acclaimed series on television, with influential, culture-driving stars, and some of the best, most creative talent behind the camera,” Fox entertainment chairman Kevin Reilly and Fox COO Joe Earley said in a statement announcing the news Friday. “All four are core assets within our 2014-15 portfolio of content, and we’re really happy to bring them back to our Fox fans for another season.”

The returning series will join a roster of new fare that Fox has picked up straight to series including Seth MacFarlane's animated comedy Bordertown, John Mulaney comedy Mulaney andancient Egypt drama Hieroglyph. The network also handed out series commitments to a comedy from 30 Rock's Tina Fey, Matt Hubbard and Robert Carlock as well as Batman prequel Gotham, both of which are considered likely to get the series order.

CBS continues to prove that it is the most stable network television. Following early renewals for Survivor and a three-year extension on The Big Bang Theory, the network has officially picked up 18 shows for the 2014-2015 TV season, including dramas, comedies, reality shows, news programs and several first-year shows.

On the drama side, NCIS, NCIS: Los Angeles, Criminal Minds, CSI, Person of Interest, Elementary, The Good Wife, Hawaii Five-0 and Blue Bloods have all been renewed. It marks the 12th season of NCIS, the 15h for CSI and the 10th for Criminal Minds. NCIS: Los Angeles and The Good Wife will both be heading into their sixth seasons, Person of Interest will enter season 4 and Elementary will go into season 3. In addition, both Hawaii Five-0 and Blue Bloods will be in their fifth seasons and, next year, both will hit their 100th episodes.

On the comedy side, freshman sitcoms Mom and The Millers were both renewed, as were Mike and Molly, 2 Broke Girls and Two and a Half Men. For Two and a Half Men, this marks the 12th season while Mike and Molly will reach its 100th episode next year. It's also good news for CBS uber-producer Chuck Lorre, as all four of his shows (The Big Bang Theory, Two and a Half Men, Mom and Mike and Molly) will be back next season.

On the reality side, The Amazing Race was renewed as were Undercover Boss, 60 Minutes and 48 Hours.

All of these renewals leave very little left to decide. The only sitcom left on the bubble is The Crazy Ones while, on the drama side, The Mentalist, Hostages and Intelligence are the only programs left undecided so far. Odds are good that most of them will probably be canceled, though clearly CBS doesn't like to get rid of anything.
