RSS
The Weeping Angels return, as does River Song ("The Time of Angels" / "Flesh and Stone"). Then The Doctor takes Amy and Rory on a pre-wedding date, and find themselves squaring off against vampire-fish people ("The Vampires of Venice"). Stovepipe
You leave Four to Doomsday alone It was my second story. I know it's not great, but as soon as I finished watching it, I knew that I couldn't back down from watching Doctor Who if it was gonna be that batshit insane. And I love the cricket ball in space. Dan
The cricket ball in space is wonderful. Oh, it's stupid science, but it is the ultimate example of "The Doctor fixes problems with whatever he can find in his pockets" that he was going for early on, it makes use of the cricketing motif that was rarely referred to ever again (Black Orchid notwithstanding), and it was jsut goofy and fun. The story is ass though.
Badhead
think the line in human nature where she says "so you can do impossible things with cricket balls" is a referance to it
Stovepipe
That's it. That's definitely a sign that Monarch is in the 50th Anniversary. He's gonna steal all the silicon in the universe.
Mr Mockery
At the risk of derailing this completely into a Peter Davison thread last week I went to the cricket ground where the Doctor played cricket in Black Orchid. It's 20 minutes drive from my flat and an old friend of mine plays for one of the teams that uses it as a home ground.
Rjoyadet
Last year I went to a convention and the doctor who room was showing "State of Decay" during the dungeon scene the audience emitted a giggle I have not heard since High school Health class. [iFrame][/iFrame] At least in the Audio dramas there are easter eggs. In episode 135 "Legend of the Cybermen" The land of fiction goes up against the Cybermen, when the sixth doctor meets the commanding officer Dracula he mentions that they had bad blood. His people were at war with their people.
