RSS Posted August 1, 2013 Report Posted August 1, 2013 In what is easily the longest episode of the Tirades thus far, your brave hosts tackle Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, a movie legendary for its overbearing stupidity. For more than three hours, James and Damien try to tackle every single nameless robot, racial stereotype, and giant gaping plot hole. This episode is brought to you by SNICK. Koete Posted August 1, 2013 Report Posted August 1, 2013 The word "fuckchop" will never not make me laugh. Quote
Venneh Posted August 1, 2013 Report Posted August 1, 2013 Man, this is gonna be awesome. I'm five minutes in and already laughing hysterically. I love you guys, and if you drank, you'd be getting some good shit for this. Quote
Guest Posted August 1, 2013 Report Posted August 1, 2013 It's pretty easy to figure out, but at one point during the episode, I got Velma and Daphne from Scooby Doo mixed up. Quote
Venneh Posted August 1, 2013 Report Posted August 1, 2013 See, I just imagined a merge of the two characters, and that's pretty hot. Quote
Guest Posted August 1, 2013 Report Posted August 1, 2013 The think the point I was making works either way. Not a lot of people look like Daphne either. Quote
Stavros Posted August 1, 2013 Report Posted August 1, 2013 See, I just imagined a merge of the two characters, and that's pretty hot. Four boobs and eight limbs, that's hawt. Quote
Koete Posted August 1, 2013 Report Posted August 1, 2013 "Don't make a person that can't add 1 and 1 do calculus." Line of the day. Quote
James D. Posted August 1, 2013 Report Posted August 1, 2013 "Don't make a person that can't add 1 and 1 do calculus." Line of the day. Personally, I think he has an even better one in his final thoughts. Quote
Rjoyadet Posted August 5, 2013 Report Posted August 5, 2013 I am happy to hear that Damien knew what Forbidden Planet is. When Mike had the shameless pledge drive I was thinking of paying for a review of the movie. I never had any money and due to the fact that I am going back to school, what money I do have will be tight. Quote
Guest Posted August 5, 2013 Report Posted August 5, 2013 You're not going to find a lot of cult movies from that era I haven't seen at this point. If the situation ever comes up, I'd be willing to review it down the line. Quote
Rjoyadet Posted November 2, 2013 Report Posted November 2, 2013 Aweseome! I gotta confess. I went and saw Enders Game. I was happy to find out that the only writing that Kurtzman and Orci did on the movie was sign a lot of checks. Although the movie wasn't a masterpiece, it didn't make me angry the way that Prometheus or the Transformers movies did. Quote
S-T Posted November 23, 2013 Report Posted November 23, 2013 Thanks for this. I hated this movie. A few months ago I went back and re-watched the 1986 Transformers animated movie to remind myself what a good Transformers movie looks like. I can't believe this movie didn't get a lot more flack for the shockingly racist ghetto-bots. Michael Bay might as well have put on a minstrel show with actors in blackface eating watermelon and fried chicken. Just plain offensive. Quote
Rjoyadet Posted October 22, 2014 Report Posted October 22, 2014 When I saw the Angelina Jolie "Maleficent" movie I wondered if Sharlto Copley was trying to look like Michael Bay when he played the cruel tyrant king Stephan. Quote
James D. Posted October 22, 2014 Report Posted October 22, 2014 That is frightening, the resemblance. Quote
