  1. In "Terror of the Zygons," shape-shifting aliens use the Loch Ness Monster in an attempt to take over the world, and Harry departs the TARDIS. Then in "Planet of Evil," a humanoid race mines a planet to save their species, but they find something very frightening and deadly. Also, Mike shocks Dan with a proclamation. 2. As a gamer that insists only on games of the highest quality, you could imagine just how quickly my balance depleted as I scoured the Live Arcade for all of its gems, eventually finding myself with an awkward 400 points, which is enough to buy nothing. I'd already outfitted my Street Fighter characters with the hottest fashions, and I refuse to spend three dollars for my avatar to have a cat, so I ventured into the strange and mysterious world of the Indie Games Marketplace. Episode 07

It's the biggest edition of Extra Lives yet, as special guest Hannah Krueger joins the guys for over an hour of coverage on the recent Tokyo Game Show, with in-depth discussions on shirtless cosplay, Wii crotch-grabbing, and kimono girls. The guys then continue their playthrough of StarTropics, and pull their hair out as they deal with disappearing platforms, dark rooms, invisible enemies, dead ends, and even a little forced cross-dressing. So grab a hot drink and sit back, this is a long one! [ 1:46:58 || 49.4 MB ] The above is from: http://www.earth-2.net/podcasts/extralives/episodes/extralives_007.mp3
  4. Kid Flash causes trouble for the HIVE Five ("Lightspeed"), while Ding Dong Daddy steals Robin's greatest secret ("Revved Up"). After five seasons, the origin of the Teen Titans is revealed ("Go! "). Brain makes his move against the young heroes ("Calling All Titans"), and Beast Boy takes it upon himself to end Brain's quest for power once and for all ("Titans Together"). Then Teen Titans comes to a close with the possible return of Terra ("Things Change"). Episode 161

This week, your host may be sick but he still delivers killer ski lifts, mind-altering parasites, and zombies with machetes. Desmond and Darryll cover Adam Green's Frozen. Then Desmond goes solo on Greg Lamberson's latest book, Desperate Souls and the sci-fi / horror B movie Growth. Tunes include: "Mr. Freeze" by Slayer, "It's Cold Outside" by The Dead Boys, "The Lost Souls" by AFI, "Insects" by Osaka Popstar and the American Legends of Punk, and "Black Light God" by Mary Shelley Overdrive. 7. On the one-year anniversary of Steve Rogers' death, his friends gather not to mourn the legend, but to save him from the time-trap Red Skull has locked him in (Captain America: Reborn). Then Death of the Endless spends a day on Earth as a mortal, and later makes a bargain for the soul of a child (Absolute Death). 8. Paranoia Agent is the essence of Satoshi Kon. It blurs the line between fantasy and reality, it's occasionally trippy, and builds a subtle interconnecting mystery around a young elementary school child with golden skates and a bent bat. The above is from: http://www.earth-2.net/reviews/a/paranoia-agent
  9. In "The Warriors of Kyoshi" we see the debut of Suki, and get to see just how badass the titular warriors can be. In "The King of Omashu" we are introduced to Bumi and laugh the entire way. Finally, in "Imprisoned" we meet nobody of real importance to the overall story, but George Takei makes a funny guest appearance. Can't win 'em all I guess. 10. This episode finishes off the Sporty September with 1977's Slap Shot and 1992's A League of Their Own. Paul Newman is old. And not even dreamy old. And Slap Shot is, in a word, gratuitous. Megan does get a kick out of old timey hockey, but then makes us all cringe with her fear of under-boob trauma. How does the fated relationship between these two podcasting titans revolve around a hockey puck? And who knew that Geena Davis was so damned hot? Mutant Kangaroos?! Pointy bras? What in the hell is going on? Megan gets super-insulted. Desmond's a little too insistent about how hot Geena Davis is. General merriment abounds. Episode 06

Aaron's back and it's rants-a-plenty as the guys talk Japanese RPGs, disembodied limbs, and (of course) the power of spanking in combat. They also start the StarTropics playthrough with some yo-yo violence, then walk through some mountains and decode secret messages before chitchatting with some dolphins. Could it be that we're actually dealing with a game even weirder than God Hand? Listen and find out. Madame Rouge has been assigned to acquire Hot Spot's communicator, but his fire powers present a slight problem for the malleable villain ("Trust"). Control Freak wants another shot at the Titans, but he finds himself pitted against their East Coast counterparts ("For Real"). Starfire befriends a Russian super soldier who's hidden himself from the world ("Snowblind"). Then the Titans go underground as Dr. Light makes a play for a crystalline girl ("Kole"). 20. This week it's sports entertainment time! Megan picks 2009's Whip It! and Desmond counters with 2008's The Wrestler. Megan gets aggressive and Desmond gets hot. Does Desmond get racial? Maybe. Prefontaine. Prefontaine is the name he was thinking of. Megan talks bout lighting? What's happening here? Masculine tearjerker sounds wrong. But it's oh so right. Marisa Tomei is fantastic, and yes that's because she's naked the entire time. Megan's need for more of the story in The Wrestler forces Desmond to bust out his screenwriting chops. And Megan shocks Desmond with one of her review scores. [ 43:45 || 20.3 MB ] The above is from: http://www.earth-2.net/podcasts/marriedtomovies/episodes/marriedtomovies_023.mp3

    Episode 158

In another massive episode of Dread Media, Desmond and Darryll present a Roadkill Review on Robert Rodriguez's modern exploitation bonanza, Machete. Then, what does a paranoid conspiracy theorist think about Machete? Dread Media presents part of Alex Jones' radio show to answer that question. Just when you thought it was okay to enjoy a film again, it's only a plot to kill whitey. Then, rational though returns to the podcast as Desmond reviews the latest chunk of releases from Radical Comics. Tunes included: "Down in Mexico" by The Coasters, "Killer in Texas" by Ghoultown, "Master Race Rock" by The Hellacopters, "Roots Radicals" by Rancid, and "Dirty Black Summer" by Danzig.
