Inheriting a legacy can be a great thing, but not if the legacy you inherit is one of death and terror. That's what we're looking at this week. The girl is troubled, but is it her fault or are her father's murderous inclinations speaking through her hands? Does an obsession with horror films lead the impressionable to murder? Can a man's mission to find his ancestor's creation lead to anything but death? All these questions are explored as Darryll and Desmond review the Hammer film Hands of the Ripper, Devil Dinosaur Jr. explores the under-appreciated 80s film Fade to Black, and Desmond goes solo on found-footage homage Frankenstein Theory. There's tunes from upstarts and legends of heavy metal this week as well: "Hands of the Ripper" by She's Still Dead, "The Ripper" by Judas Priest, "Fade To Black" by Metallica, "Frankenstein" by Iced Earth, and "Sins of the Father" by Black Sabbath.
