Missy
I'm currently watching the Law & Order episode "Seed," the one where a doctor uses his own sperm to inseminate dozens of women. Several times throughout the episode, the doctor's name is dubbed in. It's very obvious and annoying, and I'm curious as to why this was done. A Google search netted nothing. Does anyone know the reason behind the dub?
JackFetch
They probably used a real doctor's name by accident, and were sued. When they used a character's name that was similar to Elizabeth Hasselbeck's(The View) and had her raped and killed, she got pissed. It happens some times. Missy
That was my first guess, however, there are some scenes where it isn't dubbed in. It's almost as if they changed his name halfway through filming, but instead of re-shooting the other scenes, they simply dubbed over them. JackFetch
That could be it. I've seen it happen on other shows, but usually only once.
