RSS
Few names are synonymous with modern comic books, but one of those very few is Brian Michael Bendis -- the man who's helped reshape Marvel. From his radical take on Spider-Man, Daredevil, and the Avengers, Bendis has firmly cemented himself as Marvel's go-to guy when it comes to superheroes. But what about his noir-laced crime fiction? In an effort to better understand his roots, Dan and Mike examine the first volumes of Jinx, Sam and Twitch, and Alias. Missy
To answer a few questions raised during the episode: 01. According to Wiki, Alias was the very first Marvel MAX series. 02. Though Alias #1 was published one month before Bendis began his epic run on Daredevil, he did write two DD stories pre-Daredevil #26. Those were Daredevil: Wake Up (Daredevil #16-19) and the much-panned Daredevil: Ninja miniseries. So that explains why Bendis had such a firm grasp on Matt's voice in Alias #3.
