JackFetch
Producer Adrian Askarieh (Hitman) revealed in an interview at the Los Angeles Times that Todd Lincoln will direct and executive produce a big screen version of the comic Danger Girl for Askarieh and his producing partner Daniel Alter. Lincoln just wrapped The Apparition last week and also wrote the upcoming Hack/Slash adaptation for Askarieh and Alter. Askarieh describes the comic as follows: I would describe it as "Kill Bill" meets "Raiders of the Lost Ark" with the "team" element of "Mission: Impossible." I would say to the uninitiated that the book is a smart, hip, fun and beautifully drawn love letter to the best action/adventure movies of the last 30 years. It is the story of a lost girl who, through this incredibly kick-ass adventure, finds her destiny, comes of age and helps save the world. http://www.superherohype.com/news.php?id=9266
Missy
Kill Bill, seriously? Danger Girl's main plot features no revenge storyline, no karate, no daughter, and no out-of-order storytelling. But, yeah, besides that it's just like Kill Bill, because, you know, it features a lot of women. It's fucking James Bond and Charlie's Angels crossed with Indiana Jones, with a splash of GI Joe.
