Dread Posted January 10, 2013 Report Share Posted January 10, 2013 LOVE these short episodes! Supreme is VERY steeped in Supreme continuity. Not as much as the first issue of the return because that was written by Alan Moore and is a total mess. The other Supremes are survivors from the Supremacy (a world where thousands of Supremes lived before they were attacked by thousands of Daxes). They released Mean Supreme (imprisoned since the beginning of Moore's run because he was more interested in writing Superman but not Superman than he was the current incarnation of Supreme. Looking at that first issue, Larsen wisely freed Mean Supreme who then stole the powers of the remaining Supremes and fled to the regular Image U where he met Suprema and Omniman. Phew! Larsen's only doing tight breakdowns on the book, though. It's finished by Cory Hamscher. Just pointing out why you thought his style was looser.
