  1. Since my first story was Castrovalva, I guess it'd be Baker to Davison, though that's just a reprise.
  2. Sadly, Philip Madoc, another cool Doctor Who guy, has passed away. He played Eelek (The Krotons), The War Lord (The War Games), Mehendri Solon (The Brain of Morbius) and Fenner (The Power of Kroll). http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-17255287
  3. That's exactly it. I think he's great, but I don't like when he's forced to do angry. Except for "Unlimited Rice Pudding", wherein he's just ripping into the Daleks with a vocal impression. At least that's what I think he sounds like there.
  4. Doctor Who guest star Peter Halliday has passed away. He is perhaps best known among fans as Packer, the lovably ineffectual henchman from The Invasion. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-mid-wales-17157227 "Packaaaahhhh..."
  5. I don't think Time and the Rani does anything to inspire confidence in the Seventh Doctor's era, but things will get better, McCoy included. And thanks for reminding me about the Rani's Mel disguise.
  6. I know it's pretty much impossible, but it's something I sincerely want. Voltaire and all that.
  7. Is fandom harmony really so much to ask for?
  8. Found it: Ward: "How could you get rid of K9 and the sonic screwdriver? You removed all the fun from the show!" Bidmead: "Exactly. Now the Doctor has to use his wits instead of a gadget." Ward: "The TARDIS is a gadget." Bidmead: "Ah, yes, but that is unpredictable.." Ward: "Exactly my point. Magic." As for sillyness, I actually really like Season 18, but a good deal of it is because it's got a lot of sour Fourth Doctor. Is that weird?
  9. I heard there's a part where Lalla Ward basically says that Bidmead took the magic out of Doctor Who, and Bidmead just agrees smugly.
  10. One big dick move of his getting Chad Moore's YouTube account, which had a load of good reconstructions, suspended. Well at least I'm convinced he had some part in it because he got really upset at Moore's Celestial Toymaker reconstruction: "I saw you have stolen Loose Cannon's Celestial Toymaker and put it up on YouTube. That's theft. I must warn you that unless you remove all trace of it, I shall personally contribute to their legal fees to sue you for copyright theft of intellectual property. How dare you treat them in such a lowlife reprehensible underhand way, after all the good they have tried to do. You give Doctor Who fans a bad name. Do not reply to this. I have no desire to correspond with you, only to warn you of an impending lawsuit."
  11. Awesome, but I think I'll stop while I'm ahead.
  12. That's pretty unfair. Katarina pressed a button and it saved the Doctor and Steven AND Bret Vyon, which in turn let the Doctor continue his mission to stop the Daleks' Master Plan. I don't think the stakes in Revelation of the Daleks were nearly as high. Wait a minute. Could this mean that mean Katarina was more useful than Peri?
  13. Even I'm having trouble coming up with things Peri did. It's a lot easier to make up stuff. Remember the time Peri wrestled that bear that was inside the TARDIS?
  14. Well she's not screaming there. She is, however, making that kid her bitch. I'll admit this though: I don't hate Bonnie Langford. I just don't like Mel.
  15. I'm glad you guys liked The Trial of a Time Lord. And I was glad that Eric Saward left. I like his writing, but hate his philosophy and indifference to Doctor Who.
  16. He can be the wacky neighbor.
  17. I want a sitcom starring Tekker and the Borad. The Borad (long may he live) could die every episode due to Tekker's bumbling and be replaced by a clone.
  18. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IWOwGR_xuFw I'm surprised you guys didn't mention the "I'll take you to--" that ended Revelation of the Daleks. I imagine that some would be kept awake at night because they'd devote so much of their time and energy in attempting to find out just what fun place the Doctor and Peri would be going. And as bad as Vena was, I thought Tasambeker was worse. And the DJ's real crime? A cover version of Good Vibrations.
  19. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sy_Oz7eZ-sY Unless you guys are actually gonna cover this, I think we'd be remiss if A Fix With Sontarans wasn't mentioned. It aired during The Two Doctors' (which I love but can see why some might not) transmission period. Written by Eric Saward, it features the return of popular companion Tegan, as well as a plucky newcomer in guest star Gareth Jenkins, and of course, Sontarans melting horrifically into a mess of green blood and empty bodysuits. Truly a TV classic that will be treasured by generations of Doctor Who fans.
  20. Sorry. I got it wrong the first time. It's right after the music discussion.
  21. I know it's like right at the tail end of the Attack of the Cybermen segment. I dunno the time though.
  22. It's the one that begins with F, and it's around the part where lusting after Peri is discussed.
  23. There are other references to Cyberman stories, such as the sewer scenes (The Invasion) and the morally ambiguous villain (Revenge of the Cybermen). I'm trying to think of connections to The Moonbase and The Wheel in Space but I can't find any. And I'm surprised you guys weren't too keen on Sil because I absolutely love him. Nabil Shaban (the actor) has underdeveloped legs, so he had to be carried in some way. He also, in the past, tried hard to make a contribution to Doctor Who in some way. I'd say his determination paid off. Also, you left a swear in.
  24. Go to any convention my friend. You'll see one, wether its intentional or not. Nah, man. I mean in the show.
  25. One day I need to do a Wacky Costume Parade.
