  1. I know exactly what you're thinking about there, but I oughta stop because he makes me seethe too. If I was in Steakum-Turner's position I'd tell him to go home.
  2. That book and other things came to mind. Also, Ian Levine has no right to call The Gunfighters "an embarrassment" considering his hand in the K-9 and Company theme and Doctor in Distress.
  3. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=43jxIaL0pLA The thing with polls is that they're always based on reputation, earned or unearned. The Tenth Planet? It's a great debut for the Cybermen and has the shock of the first ever regeneration, but peel the layers and it's pretty damn generic. The Tomb of the Cybermen? It's quintessential Doctor Who, but that doesn't mean it's a classic. The Web of Fear? Great story, but in a season with only one story being the odd one out, it's Base Under Siege™ to the Nth degree. When I started on the Sixth Doctor 6 months ago, I was aware of The Twin Dilemma's awful reputation, and I think much of that is justified, but it's not the worst ever, and Colin Baker still made it worthwhile. And since I've railed on polls, here's another ranking list that's a load of doo doo.
  4. They better be good. Of course they are. I love his Doctor. What I meant was an email, in which I take an unpopular position on a unpopular Doctor.
  5. Shoot. Forgot about the getting better part, but let's agree that it's difficult being the Champion of American Doctor Who Fans™ when your accent's not the genuine article. I got things to say about Colin Baker though.
  6. I thought you guys were a little hard on (lol) Nicola Bryant. She's the same as Colin Baker in that her character and acting were hampered by questionable production decisions and dubious scripts. But at the same time I do see what you mean in that some would find Peri a bit hard to swallow (oh my). Then again, I think I'd use the same defense on Jackie Lane and Bonnie Langford, but with slight adjustments.
  7. I'd rather have something be awful than boring, which is why I think Timelash is better than Underworld or Time-Flight. Only by an iota.
  8. Regarding my email, I couldn't think of anything outwardly terrible after the Myrka, so I thought the time was right. As for the Kandyman, I thought he looked kind of neat and I don't consider him a monster anyway because he's not a dumb brute like some of the other ones.
  9. Warriors of the Deep is poor, but in its defense I thought it looked really cool on paper, and you can't really blame it for how badly it was produced. Still, it's not the worst of the Davison era. That'd be Time-Flight.
  10. Yeah, I don't blame Johnny Byrne for being pissed off at the finished product.
  11. I actually live relatively close to where I-Con's taking place. A friend of mine said she could get me an autograph from McCoy, but I think I'd rather meet the man myself in person and get it. Otherwise it's just not worth it, know what I mean?
  12. I didn't mind Captain Wrack actually. Who's to say that she wasn't feeding off the mind of someone who really was of that personality?
  13. It's Stovepipehat. Aw forget it. If it were up to me I'd drop the hat part but sometimes I can't. Anyway, if you like Cybermen dying then I suggest checking out this clip here:
