  1. I was just coming here to post this.

    It's sad. I mean, I'm far from the show's biggest fan, but the stuff I've seen recently has been pretty good. And, y'know, 2.5 million viewers is still bloody impressive to me. And that was their lowest rated show! Insanity. Something is fucked at UPN - first the Smackdown rumours and now this.

    Hepefully they can wrap everything up in the next 12 episodes.

  2. Well that's a relief, my brother had had me convinced that I was just crap at the gang warfare stuff ;)

    Shame really, 'cause I thought the targeting in Vice was really good...this is kinda a backwards step, when everything else has taken a quantum leap forward.

  3. 1. What songs are in the game?

    2. Is Lazlo back on the talk station?

    Soundtrack

    When compared to Vice City, San Andreas features an incredible three times as many radio stations. Each station contains their own style/uniqueness, and tons of liscensed music. Stations include:

        * SF-UR

        * Flash FM

        * Hit Radio

        * K Jah West FM

    Confirmed genres include:

        * Country

        * Rock

        * Funk/Soul

        * Reggae House

        * Alternative

        * Hip Hop

    In order to maximise the game's success, Rockstar Games have partnered with Interscope Records, part of the Universal Music group.

    "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas takes place in the early 1990's in a fictional west coast setting, so fans of the blockbuster series can expect the soundtrack to cover the full spectrum of music genres and reflect the sound, vibe and feel of the FM radio dial from that time period," stated Terry Donovan, CEO of Rockstar Games. "The in-game radio stations featured in Grand Theft Auto have been one of the most celebrated and revolutionary aspects of the game since its inception. Through our partnership with Interscope Records, we are confident that the Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas soundtrack will continue to reach new standards of excellence and creativity, and will exceed anything that the video game industry or Hollywood have ever produced in terms of size, scope and depth."

    "We are happy to be working with Rockstar Games on the soundtrack to Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas," said Jimmy Iovine, Chairman of Interscope Geffen A&M Records. "I believe that the enormous effort both companies have made in putting the soundtrack together has resulted in something truly special that will be reflected in both the game and the soundtrack albums." Developed by world class designers Rockstar North, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is the next installment in the blockbuster franchise that has redefined interactive entertainment and has exceeded 32 million units in total worldwide sales to-date.

    As for the music itself - we know very little at the moment. Death Row Records announced that 3 of their songs will appear in San Andreas, although, the announcement was later removed (without a doubt, requested by Rockstar Games).

    "We have three songs from our catalog appearing on the upcoming Rockstar Games release 'Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas'. The songs that will be playing while you jack cars, recruit gang members, and make drug deals are 'Let Me Ride', 'Nuthin' But A G Thang', and 'Gin & Juice'. The game will be released October 2004."

    Regarding Lazlow, the faq section of the site says he is, and I see no reason not to believe them, but who knows? I hope so though.

  4. Because I (whether fairly or unfairly) associate the nickname, "the Caped Crusader", with those horrendous Adam West shows and the Batman comics that were SO GODAWFUL back in the sixties and seventies.

    Pssssshhh...sometimes I think you have no sense of fun James :P The TV show is classic...my Dad and I would watch it and see if we could predict which noise would come next: BANG, WHACK or KAPOW!

    But with that said, Dark Knight sounds really fucking cool, and that's why it wins.

  5. * The Monkey Island series (In some cases I'm gonna lump whole series' together. Otherwise my list would be pretty much over between Silent Hill, Monkey Island)

    * The Silent Hill series

    * Interstate '76

    * WWE Smackdown

    * Half-Life

    * Deus Ex

    * The Final Fantasy series

    * The Grand Theft Auto series

    * Tetris

    * Kingdom Hearts

  6. AP: Do you pay much attention to fan reactions to your choices?

    Lucas: Not really. The movies are what the movies are. ... The thing about science-fiction fans and "Star Wars" fans is they're very independent-thinking people. They all think outside the box, but they all have very strong ideas about what should happen, and they think it should be their way. Which is fine, except I'm making the movies, so I should have it my way.

    Exactly. The changes are still not a big deal to me, and considering the amount of his life he's invested in these films (He fronted up the entire Empire and Jedi budgets...that shit's insane), he's MORE than welcome to make changes.

    The box set is AWESOME, by the way.
